Yeona felt like killing everyone. She does not understand why she must sit through three hours of makeup just because of an engagement.
"Stop fussing, Yu" Jungmin said as he eyed the raven-haired girl carefully.
"I'll listen when you sit here for three hours and let strangers bother you with various powders and stuff" Yeona grumbled angrily.
Currently, she was sitting in front of a mirror, in the royal palace's dressing room as various people hogged up in front of her to apply stuff she never heard off. She was almost abducted from her house at an ungodly hour because her highness wanted to prepare her perfectly for the ceremony. She understood that her highness had good intentions but if she was being honest, it was getting a bit too much for her to handle.
She could not even get more than three hours of sleep because of all the nervousness she had but who would listen to that anyway. So, she stayed mum as another make – up artist applied mascara on her lashes for the nth time.
"It's probably because they want you to look good, Yu, and not scare everyone away," Jungmin answered flatly as he skimmed through the pages of some random fashion magazine.
"But it's just an engagement!" Yeona whined but she quickly shut herself up when the head stylist shot her a look. She guessed that she had no way out of this and therefore decided to just sit there and wait patiently until everything was over.

Yeona really wanted to die.
Just why in the world did all the unfortunate things happen to her? She looked at Jungmin who was laughing his ass off and sighed loudly. She did not understand why they wanted her to wear hanbok just for a simple engagement.
"Stop laughing you arse!" Yeona hissed but Jungmin paid her no heed and just laughed harder.
"This really suits you, Yu," Jungmin said as he tried to recollect himself. He wiped the tears threatening to fall from his eyes as he looked at Yeona and her miserable way of handling the fine garment.
Yeona huffed and puffed as she struggled to work with that outfit. She carefully walked towards the mirror and eyed the hanbok carefully. The jeogori (upper garment) was deep red in colour and the chima (skirt) was cream coloured. The dongjeon (white collar) and otgoreum (tie band) were also cream coloured. There were patterns of roses stitched at the bottom and there was a small dragon embroidered on the back of the jeogori.
It would be a lie if Yeona said that the hanbok did not look beautiful. It was one of the most beautiful clothes she had ever laid her eyes on. And she had to mention how that dress was complimenting her skin tone. The dress truly showed off all her features. Dressed up like that, Yeona could not believe that it was her.

Yeona was sitting in the makeup room alone after her makeover was done.
The stylists had gone back to the venue and her good-for-nothing cousin Jungmin had also disappeared to god knows where. It is not like she wanted him here since the man would do nothing other than teasing her, but it would have been better if he was here. She regretted her decision about calling Jungmin for help when they brought her to the palace. She should have called Jia instead, but she was busy looking after Woobin and collecting their study materials.
She let out a sigh and looked at herself in the mirror. She could hardly believe how beautiful she looked dressed up like that. It was flattering if she was being honest. But at the same time, she was also worried. Is she really worth these challenges? Will she be able to stand beside Dojin with her head held high?
Her head was filled with various thoughts when suddenly she heard a loud sound coming from behind her. She turned around in that direction and felt a sense of fear creeping up her back. God, this is why she hated being left alone.
"Who is there?" she yelled but there was no response. With a deep breath, she gripped the skirt before getting up from her chair and started walking in towards the direction from where the sound originated.
She saw a body clad in black cloths with brown hair lying on the floor. She tiptoed near it when the said items started to move. Before Yeona could realize what was happening, her instinct kicked in and she grabbed the body in a deadly headlock. The body started thrashing around and Yeona involuntarily tightened her grip.
"Let Go! Let Go!" the man croaked out and Yeona instantly realized that it was none other than Dojin.
Her eyes grew comically large as soon as she realized it was none other than Prince Dojin, her to be husband. While Yeona was coming to terms with her actions, the said man scampered away from hastily and started panting. Yeona felt horrified as she saw her husband literally gasping for air. She did not realize the amount of strength she had put in that headlock. God, just what she right before her engagement. She sheepishly got up from her position on the floor and walked towards Dojin. She then sat beside him and rubbed his back in a soothing motion, hoping that it would convey how sorry she was.
"Oh, My God!" Dojin panted, still gasping for air. Tears were threatening to fall from his eyes as he tried to cope up with the pain in his neck.
"I'm sorry. I am so sorry." Yeona apologized profusely. She was on the verge of crying from embarrassment. How could she do that to future husband? It was the first time she met Dojin personally and she went total ninja on him. God, only if she could bury herself in a hole.
"Were did you learn this?" Dojin asked as he collected himself. He could hardly believe that a woman as petite as Yeona could have such amount of strength in her. 'Looks can really be deceptive' Dojin thought to himself as he fixed his garments and hair.
"I took taekwondo classes when I was a kid…" Yeona answered as she helped Dojin to stand up. "But what were you doing on the ground?" Yeona inquired as she watched Dojin dust off his pants.
"I was sent here to bring you to the temple when I... uh...tripped…um…on my own legs" Dojin stuttered, albeit embarrassed.
Yeona could not help but chuckle. She did not know that Prince Dojin would have such a clumsy side to him. 'Looks can really be deceptive', Yeona thought to herself.
Dojin stared at Yeona before clearing his throat. "If you are done here, we should leave". He ordered, coldly.
Yeona followed the taller male obediently and went to the temple where the engagement was held.
