Although he didn't remember how to trace his steps perfectly anymore, Zack had a general idea of where he was going. As such, he wasn't surprised to have accidentally stumbled upon a beaten path.
'I'll probably run into the border patrol this time. . . Hopefully they don't give me any guff for sneaking by the other day. . .'
As he continued sprinting at max speed, he left a small trail of dust behind him. Sticks and stones alike broke under his feet as he ran, and cool winds whipped by his face.
After a few minutes passed, he eventually saw a watch tower in the distance, reminiscent of the one he had run into with Diz. The only difference this time was that there were quite a few more guards, both on the path and in the tower.
It seemed they were all on edge, bows drawn and weapons out in the open. A single soldier stood in front of the organized line with her weapon undrawn still.
