Like the weaker specimens, the last specimen felt a fear unlike any other.
Although it didn't feel the overbearing pressure a stronger being would normally exude, Zack established himself as a superior presence in its mind.
It attempted to flee, but Zack quickly blocked its path of escape.
At that point, fighting was the only option left for it.
It fought off Zack with an array of attacks unlike any other he'd seen up until that point. From more elemental attacks, to more complex movement, it seemed cornering them triggered their true potential.
And it even attempted to paralyze Zack multiple times, but only met air upon clamping its jaws together.
Something that up until that point, he figured to be something saved for already weakened prey.
However, despite its best efforts, it never managed to deal a substantial blow to Zack. A graze or two at best, but nothing worthy of note.
