It really had been years, and Roman had a lot of questions. However, Zack took the initiative and shot the first two questions, saying "So, when did you come back? And why are you working as a tram conductor?"
"Well, I came back about a week ago. Life on the islands can get pretty boring after a while, so I came back for a change of pace. As for the reason I'm operating a tram, it's light work and it pays enough bills to get a decent apartment, among other things."
Zack arched his eyebrow as he listened to him. "Seriously? A life free of commitment and you come back here?" he asked in bewilderment.
The idea of relaxing on the Isle of Paradise for a decade or two sounded like heaven to him, and it was what most people aimed for after failing to become an elite. To give that up for a change of pace, some people might have considered spitting in Roman's face!
