The streets were even busier than usual today.
So of course, Zack found himself cutting through alleyways like usual. He felt on edge as he traversed them, but felt like his worries were for naught when, unlike yesterday, his trek through them was uneventful as usual.
After making it to the nearest tram stop, Zack sat down and watched the energetic crowd passing by as he waited.
One group caught his attention as he waited for the tram. It was a family of five. A child was frolicking ahead of the group, two older siblings were following close behind the little one, and then their parents, arm in arm, lagged behind the group.
"I wonder if that's how it would've been. . ." he said to himself absentmindedly.
After watching the group pass, Zack reached into his satchel and pulled out a metal bottle. The lid came off with a loud pop, and he drank the water eagerly. It was particularly hot today, and Zack sweated a bit more than usual since he decided to wear something uber casual.
