Chapter 4 - The confession

Once the others arrived home, Noah was sat on the couch staring directly at the ground. The others almost immediately knew something was wrong. They all sat on either side of him, causing him go jump a little but then sigh with a small amount of relief. Francesca and Meghans arm each went around the male on opposite sides as they simultaneously asked what was wrong. "I need to tell you all something that you might end up hating me for." Noah began before Meghan cut him off. "Us? Hate you? There's nothing in the entire world that would make us." She paused, making sure to say this really quickly. "Yourbestfriendsintheentireworld, ever ever hate you!" The others nodded in agreement as Noah began to look at all his friends, tears forming in his eyes.

The others all gave him a big hug and held him tight, eventually letting him go so that he could speak. Noah stood up, facing them all, eyeing each of their faces. "Okay.. well, you guys sorta all ditched me last night even though you promised not to, and I was really drunk and once I got up to a quiet room, everything was fine!" His voice cracked on fine. "Until.. well someone knocked and, well I panicked because what if I was in someone else's room, I mean that wouldn't be goo-" He continued to ramble, being cut off. "So you thought we would hate you because someone knocked on a door..?" Jamie asked before Noah shook his head. "Nono, what I'm trying to say is.." Noah rambled out words that none of them understood. "Come again, sweetheart?" Francesca asked. "Well the person who knocked was Tye and uh.. well we shared a moment and.. I enjoyed it and.." he was stopped. "What? You gotta be kidding me, him?! He's no good! Noah!" Francesca groaned, rolling her eyes.

"We certainly wouldn't ever hate you, but that wasn't good of you to do. Especially because of all him and his friends have done! Let alone his girlfriend?! Noah! You can't be a home-wrecker!" Ryleigh shouted, slapping him over the head with a book. "Ow! Okay, okay, I know it was bad but it didn't feel bad and I felt so complete and happy and he said sorry and it seemed like he meant it!" Noah shouted in his usual, shy tone. "Sweetie.. he was drunk. People do things when they're drunk that they don't mean." Francesca stood up, pulling the other into a hug. "But what if he.. what if he did mean it..?" He stared up at his best friend and asked innocently. He really needed the other to mean it. If he didn't, his innocent little heart would be crushed again. But they way they kissed.. it didn't just seem like a drunken kiss. It seemed like something Tye had wanted to do for a long time. Noah was good at reading things like that, and if he didn't think it meant anything, he wouldn't believe so much in it.

"Life doesn't work that way. I know you want to have a happily ever after with jerk charming, but it just can't work out that way.." Francesca sighed, Noah looking like he was in the verge of tears again, giving puppy eyes. "Fine, fine. If you wanna go after him, then who am I to stop you? Just know it won't be easy." She sighed as the others looked a bit disappointed she was allowing him to go through with this. Noah simply smiled. He didn't wanna start jumping around just yet. Though inside his head, fireworks were practically going off. He hugged the girl tight and ran off to his room as the others discussed who would do what once his heart was broken once more. They all knew that they couldn't just stop him. If Noah was set to do something, he didn't give up, but they knew this wasn't gonna end well. The guy was a hopeless romantic, there was no end to that.

In his room, he looked through his phone, hopping onto QWEB, and finding Tye's profile. He followed the other, which he was surprised he hadn't done that earlier, and scrolled down the account. He didn't know if he should DM him. If it meant something then yeah that was a good idea, but if Tye didn't even mean to kiss the other, or remember it, he would be embarrassed beyond belief. If one of Tye's friends found out, Noah would be done for. The bullying would be so much worse, and it might not just be verbal. The last time he was physically hurt by Tye's friends was when he tried to open his locker and they were standing in front of it. He asked nicely for them to move, which resulted in Noah getting a bloody nose from a few punches. That was a few months back, but he still shivered at the thought of it. The pain in Tye's eyes as he watched, wanting to stop it but knowing that Noah would only be hurt more if he did. It was like having to choose between death, or being knocked out. You know both are bad, but which is worse.

Needless to say, that was the only thing holding Noah back from sending a message to Tye. He knew exactly what he would say, now he would say it, and how to feel about it, but he didn't wanna risk getting hurt just to find this out. What's the point in finding out if someone's in love with you, if you end up being beaten to a bloody pulp anyways. He stared at the males account for several hours, scrolling down his posts, even reaching all the way back to posts of them. They always looked at each other a special way, but Noah never seemed to notice. He was too blinded by how perfect Tye looked, his mind never thought to even see the pure love in the other boys eyes. I guess that was normal for him. He never expected it was possible for someone to love him back as much as he did, if not more. He never thought good of himself, and why should he? He was brought down by so many people. Yeah his friends were kind, but they didn't remind him that he was amazing on a daily. The only people who reminded him anything, were the jerks that picked on him. They truly picked on him for anything and everything. How he looked, dressed, acted, who he loved, his sexuality, his voice, where he lived. It was insane, they're so jealous of him and bored of their lives, that they began to make fun of such a perfect boy.
