Chapter 5 - Forever isn't really forever

*25 years ago* (Adam)

25 years ago, my father died and my mom died. My aunt took me in as one of her own and told the world I was her son. She was some big shot celebrity. She was so busy with everything that she forgot about me. I missed my parents so much and I wanted to be with them.

I went to the bridge where my parents and I used to pass everyday. I jumped up on the ledge and said to myself "Mom, dad i'm coming. wait for me please". As i was about to jump. This little girl came up beside me and asked me what I was doing? "Mind your business. Go somewhere else" She still stood there. "Could you help me? My mom went on a trip and she hasn't come back yet". "What are you doing here anyways?, she asked. "I'm gonna jump off this bridge and meet my parents", I replied. "You can't do that. You will die". " That is what I want to do. So get out of here and ask someone else for help". "You cant. I don't want you to", she said. "you don't even know me. Stop trying to help me". "How bout you jump off the bridge after you help me find my mom and i'll stop bothering you. Deal". "Will you really leave me alone?" "Yes". "Okay deal". I walked around everywhere helping the little girl find her mom but no luck. We found a police station and her dad managed to come pick her up. She told him everything and he didn't looked surprised.

After everything, she walked back over to me and said Thank you. I walked away and told her "Goodbye". She ran up to me and said "You can't kill yourself. You didn't help me find my mom. We made a deal". Even though we made a deal, that still wouldn't stop me. Nothing could. As I began to walk away, the little girl suddenly started crying out of nowhere. She started yelling and started hitting me for no reason. She held on to me so tight I couldn't escape. "Could you stop crying please? You're making a scene." "i won't stop unless you promise me to not kill yourself". "I promise". "Now swear to me that you won't" "Do I have to?" At that moment she began screaming and crying even louder than last time. "I swear, I swear.", I replied.

I called my aunt to pick me up and I never saw that little girl ever again. All I knew was that her name was Bella. I got it from the police man that was there that day. Something about her was interesting. I wanted to find her.

I looked for her for 25 years and almost gave up. Never did I think that she would come to work for me.
