. . .
In the middle of the night, Zeirenne got out of bed. She stood on her door to listen, in case Jin was standing outside. Upon making sure that he was not around, she moved in silence, sneaking out of the hotel to go somewhere else.
When morning came, Jin looked at his watch, wondering why Zeirenne was not coming out of her door.
"Mister Yang, everyone's ready now," Miss Jones said.
He gave her a nod before stepping forward to knock on Zeirenne's door. After a few minutes of knocking, no one came to greet him. He took his phone out of his pockets and dialed Zeirenne's number. Still, there was no answer.
His chest hurt. But worry flushed him more.
"Where in the world are you?"
He's always worried whenever she's not within his sights. Not because he's afraid of her leaving, but because he knows her well. Danger, is not in her vocabulary. She prefers sugarcoating it as adventure.
"Where the hell are you?" he repeated before heading out to the beach.
