(Chapter 2)
(The clouds turned dark and flashes of lightning illuminated them briefly as rain fell to the ground. Kai laid on the roof of the building beside Agame's dead body, facing the sky, letting the sky pour down on him. Blood stained hands held the circular object delivered to him earlier, which is now beeping loudly.)
Yuri: How long are you going to keep this up?
Kai: (He sighs and sits up) When do I start?
(2 hours before Agame's death)
(11:00 pm)
Mecha girl : Complete your mission or die!
(Kai's eyes flew wide open and his heartbeat quickened it's pace, his shirt and face soaked in sweat)
Kai: Dammit! Another dream. (He takes his shirt off and walks to the bathroom, washed his face and stared into the mirror when his laptop dinged.) What now? (He walked over to his home desk and opened his laptop. His eyes opened wide as he saw the message boldly written on the screen with an image of him sitting on the desk looking at his laptop and he read aloud) Finish your mission before the clock strikes 12:00 am or you die! You ought to be kidding me! You expect me to kill a man while he sleeps, I don't even know where he lives.
(His laptop dings and a message pops up on the screen)
Your targets current location
(Attached under it was a picture of the school chemistry lab)
Kai: What would he be doing there close to midnight? (He whispered to himself) better question how are you hearing me?!
(His laptop dings)
We have eyes and ears everywhere.
Kai: hump, talk about creepy. And what if I don't want to!
(A laser beam flew past his ear and hit the desk)
Kai: okay fair point. (he grabs a hoodie and pulls on sweat pants and heads out) I'm sorry Mr Kankuro, please forgive me. (He locks his apartment door and runs towards the lobby then out to the streets)
(Thunder clapped and lightning flashed as he walked down the street leading to school)
Kai: it's going to rain soon.
(Agame's house)
(Lightning flashed and thunder clapped and the wind blew heavier, Agame shook under her sheets as the storm seemed to intensify)
Kai: Dammit! (Kai's voice could be heard outside her window)
Agame: Big brother? (She looks out the window and sees him swearing and making silent cusses and she chuckles) I wonder where he's going to?
(Riyugi High)
(He walked into the hallways and saw light coming from the chemistry lab)
Kai: What's he doing here so late at night? (He whispered to himself and mistakenly kicked a soda can lying on the ground, it made a loud sound then stopped) Dammit!
Mr Kankuro: Who's there? (He called from inside the lab)
Kai: I can't do this. (He turned around to run and saw his tall, old wire-framed glasses, chemistry teacher standing in front of him) M-mr Kankuro.
Kai's thoughts: How did he get here so fast? (He thought you himself)
Mr Kankuro: it's just you, (The old man said then sighed) what are you doing here so late?
Kai: I should be asking you that question (He muttered silently to himself) I thought I'd come to school to pick something I left in my locker.
Mr Kankuro: and it couldn't wait until tomorrow? (The old man raised his brow)
Kai: No, it's my homework. (He rubbed the back of his head nervously)
Kai's thoughts: I actually came to murder you while you do whatever it is you're doing here
Mr Kankuro: (The old man's lips slowly curved into a smile whilst inspecting Kai) well then, I needed an assistant anyways and since you're here…
Kai: sure I can help.
Mr Kankuro: good follow me. (He walked into the lab with Kai tailing behind)
Kai: So what are you doing anyways? (He notices the scent of bleach as soon as he walked in)
Mr Kankuro: I was preparing tomorrow's experiment for the senior year class students.
Kai: And that couldn't wait until tomorrow? (Kai inspected the lab)
Mr Kankuro: (the old man laughed) I see what you did there and no, senior classmen tend to get out of control if you know what I mean, they'll probably break all the beakers. So I come here to do it myself.
Kai: oh I see. (He looked out the window and saw a shadow standing on the building opposite them.) Dammit!
Mr Kankuro: is anything the problem?
Kai: no nothing at all. What do I do?
Mr Kankuro: get me the acid from the supply closet. (The old man turned around to mix some chemicals)
Kai: this closet (He walks to the supply closet to his right but Mr Kankuro stopped him by opening the other closet to his left)
Mr Kankuro: No, this one.
Kai's thoughts: what the hell? And what is he hiding?
Kai: Okay? (Mr Kankuro walked back to his work station and Kai took the required acid bottle off a shelf but noticed the scent of bleach got thicker when he stood close to the other closet. He hands the old man the acid bottle and casts a side glance at the other closet)
Mr Kankuro: Good now come help me here.
Kai: Oh okay, let me just get a glove, goggles and lab coat from the closet over here.
Mr Kankuro: (The old man paused) stop don't look in… (he was stopped mid sentence as Kai flung the closet open)
(Kai felt his hands go numb and bile rising at the back of his throat, threatening to come out. He looked down at the lifeless body of young girl, cuts all over her face and a chunk of the flesh of her neck was bitten off, his hands shook in fear and he stepped away from the dead body in front of him, she scented like bleach and blood)
Kai: What is this? (The lights flickered they went off completely)
Mr Kankuro: (His voice now ice cold and his face was completely concealed by darkness, lightning flashed revealing his red bloodshot eyes behind his glasses, his hands were now sharp silver blades and his jaw tore open revealing his abnormally sharp teeth) you shouldn't have looked in there. Now you die!
Kai: Shit!
(The creatures hands extended swiftly like a stretched rubber band towards his neck but he quickly ducked and scrambled out of the lab, ready to run when he saw the creature in front of him it made a hissing and it roared before extending another sharp blade hand at Kai chest and Kai yet again barely dodged it's attack by ducking, then it started extending them in a barrage and Kai dodged all of them, just a few tore his clothes)
Kai: look I'm sorry okay, I won't tell anyone I saw you just— (Kai quickly dodged the blade hand extended at him but it's blade grazed his left cheek before it retracted back to the creature. The creature tasted the blood on the blade and and it's eyes shot wide open)
Mr Kankuro: So good! your blood is so good! The taste is so good I must have more! More! I must have you! (the creature charged at him with full speed and punched Kai, the punch sent him skidding across the floor of the hallway)
