Chapter 33 - Chapter Thirty Three

"So, when is she arriving?" Amelia asked, clattering in the background.

"Later today." Sarise answered, throwing herself back on the bed. "I still haven't told Mum and Dad who my mate actually is."

"Why not?" Amelia laughed and Sarise groaned.

"Could you imagine Dad?" Sarise groaned, rolling onto her stomach. "He hates the Alphas more than anyone. You should have heard him when he found out you were mated to Noah."

"He was all '𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘀𝘒𝘯'𝘡 𝘡𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘒𝘀𝘬𝘴 𝘴𝘡𝘒𝘺 𝘸π˜ͺ𝘡𝘩π˜ͺ𝘯 𝘡𝘩𝘦π˜ͺ𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯, 𝘨𝘰𝘡 𝘡𝘰 𝘡𝘒𝘬𝘦 𝘰𝘢𝘳 𝘨π˜ͺ𝘳𝘭𝘴 𝘒𝘸𝘒𝘺 𝘫𝘢𝘴𝘡 𝘭π˜ͺ𝘬𝘦 𝘡𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘡𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘰𝘢𝘳 𝘭𝘒𝘯π˜₯.' bla, bla, bla." Sarise added and Amelia laughed. "Honestly he's gonna have kittens when he finds out I'm the Luna of Intelligence Pack."

"Why is Hayley even coming to Intelligence Pack?" Amelia asked, a door opening in the background and the sound of her heels clicking on marble flooring echoing around her.

"Well since her sister is '𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨' at the Alpha Mansion in Intelligence Pack." Sarise answered, sitting up and looking around the room. "She's decided to come here and take a look at the universities."

"Has she applied for a scholarship?" Amelia asked and Sarise snorted.

"How the fuck would I know Mel?" She asked, turning as the door opened as Marie walked in.

"Luna, forgive me I was..." Marie began but Sarise waved her in, throwing her a smile as Amelia spoke down the phone.

"I hadn't checked." Sarise stated, answering Amelia's question as to whether Hayley had a scholarship. "I wasn't even aware that Jacob had anything to do with them."

"He has a role on the committee." Amelia laughed. "Honestly Sarise do you know what your mate does at all?"

"I know he fucks like round each one is going to be his last." Sarise joked and Amelia laughed again, another door opening and Noah's voice echoing in the background.

"What else is there to know." Sarise added, climbing off the bed so Marie could strip it.

"I'm putting you on speaker." Amelia stated, the phone clunking on a surface a moment later.

"Who is all there?" Sarise asked, walking to the door, stepping from the room and walking down the hallway. "Wouldn't want to shock delicate ears."

"Just Noah and James." Amelia answered.

"Morning Sarise." Noah called.

"Noah." Sarise replied, walking down the stairs and nodding at the staff she passed. "I was just telling Amelia how you two need to get a banging."

In the background James laughed.

"Coz I'm needing a pup in my life and I'm thinking Aunty Sarise has a great ring to it."

"Aunty now is it?" Noah laughed as Sarise pushed the door of the dining room open, seeing Jacob and Carmen arguing over something.

"Well of course I'd be the godmother, I'm the obvious choice." Sarise stated as she walked up to her chair, lowering herself into it and noting the questioning look on Jacob's face from behind his newspaper.

"Noah and Amelia." She stated, covering the mouthpiece and pulling the phone from her ear before putting it back to her mouth again.

"And frankly you won't find a better godmother than me." She added, looking at Jacob and seeing him shaking his head in laughter.

"I'm sure Xander would have something to say about us constantly picking you and Jacob to be our children's godparents." Noah laughed.

"Ohh so we're talking multiple pups here?" Sarise asked, pulling the phone from her ear, putting it on speaker and putting it on the table between her and Jacob. "You're on speaker."

"You having breakfast?" Amelia asked.

"Yep. The usual, toast and coffee, shit tonnes of coffee." Sarise answered, buttering her toast and smearing it with jam. "But I'm still waiting on whether I'm going to be an aunty to a whole army of royal pups."

She looked over at Carmen, throwing her a wink before taking a bite of her toast.

"We haven't discussed it." Amelia laughed and Sarise snorted.

"But I bet you guys aren't using any to stop said conception though." Sarise pointed out, hearing Amelia laughed. "I bet you're banging on every surface, leaving cum stains..."

"Sarise." Jacob growled playfully and in the background of the phone call Noah's laughter echoed.

"And that's you told." Amelia laughed.

"Pfft like it would stop me." Sarise answered blowing a kiss at Jacob.

"Jacob." Amelia called and Jacob grunted a yes. "Have you had an interview with a Hayley Chambers for any of the scholarships?"

Jacob lowered his newspaper, looking at Sarise as he responded to Amelia.

"Why do you ask?" He questioned.

"Mel..." Sarise began to say but Amelia cut her off.

"Sarise's sister is coming from Zone Nine today to check out the universities and given her families financial situation I assumed that Hayley had applied for a scholarship."

"Your sister is coming today?" Jacob asked, looking at Sarise and she rolled her eyes, looking down at the phone.

"Nice one jack ass." She snapped playfully. "I hadn't spoken to Jacob yet."

"Well now he knows." Amelia laughed, cutlery clattering in the background.

"Ruin my plans." Sarise snorted. "I was going to hide her in some random room and tell him she was some kid I'd kidnapped to be our sex slave, see how badly he freaked out."

James and Noah laughed in the background of the call and Jacob shook his head, flicking the newspaper out again to hide the smile on his face.

"Anyway, now that you've broken the news I better talk to my mate and inform him of what the Queen has already let slip." Sarise continued, hearing Amelia laugh.

"Try and behave." Amelia joked and Sarise snorted.

"Don't I always?" She asked.

"No!" Voices sounded, from Carmen and Jacob as well as from the phone and she laughed.

"Okay fuck off you lot, love you Mel, talk to you later."

"Love you too." Amelia answered and the phone went dead.

"So, your sister is coming today?" Jacob asked, lowering the corner of his newspaper, a smile on his face.

"Yup." Sarise answered, taking another bite of her toast. "Mum rung this morning to tell me Hayley was on the bus and needed picked up from the terminal at one."

"We could have sent a car." Jacob pointed out and Sarise frowned, grabbing her coffee and lifting it to her mouth.

"Could have." She answered. "But that would let on to my parents know I'd mated someone important."

"They don't know who you're mated to?" Carmen asked and Sarise looked across the table. "Why not, anyone would be proud to know their daughter..."

"Carmen." Jacob called, lowering his paper and shaking his head at her.

Carmen went to speak again, but another shake of Jacob's head told her to drop the matter.

"So, you'll be picking her up?" Jacob asked and Sarise looked at him.

"I was kinda hoping I could send someone." She answered, taking a bite of her toast.

"Would that not give away who you are?" Jacob pointed out, lowering the newspaper and grabbing his coffee cup.

"Nope." Sarise answered, throwing her toast on her plate and brushing her hands down before taking her coffee cup in hand. "I told my family I was stationed here at the Alpha Mansion with my mate."

Carmen laughed at the comment, getting another head shake from Jacob before he turned back to Sarise.

"I can have a town car sent to collect her." Jacob stated, leaning back in his chair. "You said her bus arrives at one?"

Sarise nodded as she took a sip of her coffee before setting it down on the table and grabbing her toast again.

"I told my parents she could stay." Sarise added then frowned as she realised the implications of her sister staying. "Fuck!"

"Just realised that you're in a pickle of shit?" Jacob chuckled, grabbing his newspaper and flicking it open again as Sarise frowned at him.

"Thank you Captain Obvious." Sarise grumped getting a chuckle from Carmen again.

"How old is your sister?" Carmen asked and Sarise looked over at her.

"Seventeen." She replied.

"On the young to be going to university." Jacob stated from behind his paper, dropping the corner to look at Sarise. "But I suppose if she's anything like you..."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Sarise grumped, glaring at Jacob as he flicked the corner of the paper out again.

"Nothing." Jacob answered, reaching around with his left hand to grab his coffee. "Merely saying that..."

"Oh yes please elaborate." Sarise growled and Jacob dropped the newspaper slowly.

"Are we really going to do this again this morning?" He asked, tilting his head in question and Sarise growled.

"Nope because I'm leaving." She snapped, pushing the chair back and standing. "You ruined a perfectly good morning you know!"

"Seems to be a skill I've developed of late." Jacob responded, flicking the newspaper out again and burying his nose in it as Sarise stormed from the room.

* * *

Sarise smoothed down her skirt, trying to settle it around her as she walked down the corridor towards the foyer, checking the watch at her wrist as she did.

Lately she'd been short tempered, fighting with Jacob over simple matters and while the make up sex was hot and steamy, she knew her current temperament was wearing on him.

They had made up in one of the corridors after breakfast, hot, angry sex against the wall that resulted in them being caught by the staff.

A meeting just before lunch had resulted in an argument when Jacob had mentioned his criteria for the picking of the Alphas, one that had once again resulted in hot, angry sex in the mansion library.

Not that she minded make up sex, but angry sex...that she wasn't happy about, yet every time Jacob opened his mouth to speak at the moment, she just wanted to punch him in the face.

She walked into the foyer, instantly hearing a squeal that all but shattered her ear drums, slamming her hands over her ears and spinning around only to have a body slam into her.

"Sarise!"

"Goddess that squeal." Sarise laughed, wrapping her arms around her sister and giving her a tight hug before letting her go, taking a step back and brushing her hair from her face.

"How was the bus ride?" Sarise asked and Hayley snorted.

"Ya know you could have sent that hulking car out to Zone Nine to collect me." Hayley grumped, slapping Sarise's hand aside. "Leave it."

"Did you even brush it?" Sarise asked, stepping back at looking at her sister's appearance.

"Come on Sarise I've been on a bus since five this morning." Hayley grumped. "I don't even think I'm awake." She frowned at her, her nose wrinkling as she did.

"You know you're just like mum!" Hayley added and Sarise laughed, grabbing her again and pulling her into a hug.

"Goddess I've missed you." Sarise breathed and Hayley laughed, pushing herself back and looking around the foyer.

"I don't know why." She laughed, turning back to wink at Sarise. "I mean look at this place, it's totally bloody amazing."

Sarise laughed, wrapping her arm around her shoulder as she turned her to walk down the corridor.

"Come I'll give you a tour." She stated, looking up to see Jacob and Donovan walking down the hallway towards them.

"Sarise." Jacob called with a smile, looking at Hayley. "And this is?"

"Hayley, Alpha; Sarise's sister." Hayley answered, recognising the power Jacob radiated as she inclined her head at him. "Forgive me. Sarise said it would be okay to visit."

She glared at Sarise, giving her a shove before looking at Jacob.

"I apologise, I should have had my sister to check with the Alpha before..."

"Sarise has already mentioned you're staying with us for a while." Jacob answered, smiling at her. "It is a pleasure to meet you Hayley and please call me Jacob."

Hayley's eyes went wide at the comment as Jacob turned to Sarise.

"Merric is arriving later." He stated.

"Of course." She answered. "Do you need me to entertain Casey?" Jacob shook his head.

"Casey is not coming this time however I'd like you to be there." He answered, glancing at Hayley. "I'm sure Carmen would prove an appropriate companion for Hayley."

"Sure." Sarise answered, glancing at Hayley, seeing she was trying to follow the track of the conversation, before looking at Jacob.

"What time is Merric arriving?"

"An hour." He answered, stepping past her and walking down the corridor, Donovan in tow.

"Luna." Donovan said lightly as he walked past her, causing Hayley to scream.

"Luna!" Hayley exclaimed.

Sarise glanced up at Jacob, seeing he had stopped, looking back with a smile on his face before he turned to walk away.

"𝘚𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘒 𝘣π˜ͺ𝘡𝘀𝘩!" She snapped at him, hearing him chuckle through the link.

"Oh, my Goddess!" Hayley cried out again. "Are you and the Alpha..."

"Jacob." Sarise stated, grabbing her sisters' arm and dragging her down the hallway.

"Your mate is the Alpha!" Hayley exclaimed. "When you said you'd found your mate and were coming to Intelligence Pack you never said it was the Alpha!"

Sarise pushed Hayley into the dining room, closing the door.

"This is why." Sarise pointed out, folding her arms across her chest. "You'd get all excited and start screaming like a..."

"I can't believe you're a Luna!" Her sister squealed, completely ignoring Sarise. "Mum and Dad are going to die when they find out. Oh my Goddess, Dad is going to have kittens!"

"No fucken shit!" Sarise added, pinching the bridge of her nose with her thumb and forefinger as jumped around with excitement.

"Sarise are you...Oh here you are." Carmen's voice called as she walked into the room. "Jacob contacted me through the pack link and said you needed to see me."

Hayley stopped jumping around, looking at the girl next to her.

"Merric is arriving in an hour and my sister has just arrived from Zone Nine." Sarise stated. "Carmen this is my sister Hayley." She turned to Hayley. "This is Carmen, Jacob's sister."

"Hi." Hayley beamed and Carmen smiled, walking forward and grabbing her hands.

"I'm so happy to meet you." She said excitedly and Hayley smiled as Carmen looked at Sarise. "Sarise never told me she had a younger sister when she arrived her two month ago."

"You know what, I can tell we're going to be the best of friends." Hayley added, winking at her sister before the two girls starting squealing in excitement and Sarise groaned.
