Jacob leaned back in his chair, have listening to Donovan as he went on about the ball that was being held in a fortnight to celebrate his ten years as Alpha.
His thoughts were on Sarise as he tried to calculate how long she'd been on heat.
He'd wanted nothing more than to throw her on the desk and drive himself into her this afternoon. He had not expected her to give him a blowjob in his office, where anyone could walk in.
It was so brazen, so reckless, so damn sexy.
They were been lucky they hadn't been caught!
He'd also never been so appeased by a simple blowjob before.
When she began, he had expected her to stop before he came, leaving him to finish himself off; but she had continued until he had finished, filling that beautiful mouth of hers with his essence.
He smiled as he remembered the feeling of her mouth around him, her tongue twirling around him and felt himself grown hard at the thought.
Goddess he wanted to pleasure that woman, to see her moaning beneath him, over and over again.
"Jacob?"
Jacob looked up, seeing a questioning look upon the face of his Beta.
"Sorry." Jacob called, sitting forward and leaning against his desk. "I'm distracted."
"I'm assuming by Sarise's heat." Donovan chuckled and Jacob frowned at him. "I remember Ember's first heat." Donovan continued, ignoring the look from his Alpha.
"Goddess all I wanted to do was throw that women on the bed and..."
"Yes, yes I get it." Jacob growled, causing Donovan to laugh.
"In saying that, the scent from Sarise's heat dulled significantly this afternoon." Donovan pointed out.
"I marked her." Jacob answered, looking up at Donovan's eyes grew wide. "Calm down she asked me to."
"Well at least it you won't be snarling at every unmated man in the mansion now." Donovan laughed, leaning against the wall behind him. "No one will go after a marked she wolf in heat."
Jacob grunted in response. Even though Sarise was his mate, during her heat; her urges would be uncontrollable.
Her scent would also draw every unmated wolf to her, wanting to help her sate the desires of her wolf.
Now that she was marked, she was officially off limits to any unmated man. Once they consummated the bond his scent would be all over her and no man would ever look at her with desire again.
He felt his loins tighten at the thought of consummating the bond. It wasn't just Sarise's heat that had him on edge sexually.
It had been weeks since he'd given in to the desires of not only himself but his wolf and he was beyond horny.
"Jacob?" Donovan called, snapping Jacob from his day dream and he looked up.
"Sorry, I was day dreaming." Jacob responded truthfully and Donovan laughed again.
"Amazing what a woman's heat can do to a man." Donovan laughed. "While the smell has dulled for us, for you..."
Jacob growled again, seeing Donovan's eyes flash yellow and Jacob quickly realised his wolf was trying to push forward.
"Forgive me old friend." Jacob breathed, running his hand over his face in frustration. "Sarise's heat has me..."
"All fucked up." Donovan laughed, pushing himself off the wall and throwing the file in his hand on the desk. "How about we leave it here for today."
He walked towards the door, pulling the handle down and stopping to look back over his shoulder.
"You know there are other ways to stave off the desires of her heat for now." Donovan answered then let out a loud chuckle. "But judging by what I saw in here earlier, you're more than aware of that."
Jacob's eyes flew open as Donovan walked from the room. Fuck he'd seen what had happened earlier in the day.

Sarise sighed, closing the book in front of her and rubbing her eyes as she tried to relieve the strain they were under from constant reading.
Her and Jacob had been at this for two days now and still hadn't found anything that could remotely help them with the Alpha issue.
She heard the door open, opening her eyes to see seeing Jacob walking.
"You look tired." Sarise called, turning and resting against the desk.
"Just got off the phone with Noah." He answered, walking forward and giving her a light kiss.
"I suspect our lack of progress went down well." Sarise grumped, rolling her eyes and Jacob growled lightly from beside her.
"Any luck?" He asked, picking up a book and looking through it.
"If you mean, have I found your magical list then no." She answered, turning and looking at the books on the table. "However..."
"However?" Jacob asked, looking at her with his eyebrows raised.
"I think we're going about this wrong." She added.
"How so?" He asked, dropping the book on the table.
"Well..." Sarise stated. "Even today The Alphas all have certain criteria that they still meet." She looked up at him
"They all have two children or more and experience in the expertise of the pack they govern." She continued, noting the questioning look on Jacob's face.
"It was the spell that made them dominant and bound the people of the Packs to them. The spell that gave them the ability to rule, the ability to protect."
She touched the book in front of her.
"Here, the original Alpha of Immaculate Pack was a known priest." She stated looking up at Jacob. "His faith in the Moon Goddess one of the strongest known at the time."
"You're point?" Jacob asked.
"As I said, I think we're looking at this wrong." She said lightly, straightening to look at him. "We're thinking there was list that Justan used when he chose the Alphas, but he probably went off instinct."
She tapped the book in front of her and Jacob bent down the read the passage she pointed out.
"Here it states how Justan was unhappy with how things were going within War Pack, how the pack wasn't shaping up to be what he had envisioned." She looked up at Jacob.
"I think he merely chose who were the best and most obvious choices and they ironed out the kinks as the Packs grew."
"We don't have the luxury of ironing out the kinks as you so elegantly put it." Jacob pointed out, looking up at her.
"No, but we have the knowledge of what the Packs were before The Cull and an idea of what we're looking for when it comes to the governing of those packs." She tapped her chin lightly.
"You said the Alpha families were killed in The Cull correct?"
"Yes." Jacob answered, turning and resting his butt on the desk, turning at the hip to look at her. "The Cull was absolute."
"What about The Betas?" She asked and Jacob's eyes flew open. His head whipped around and he scanned the shelves.
"The Betas." He breathed, walking to a shelf and scanning it. "It would take time to find out who the Betas were at the time of The Cull, although I feel that most of that information would have been stored in the Alpha Libraries themselves."
"Only one Alpha Library remains." Sarise said lightly and Jacob looked over his shoulder at her.
"Two." He stated and Sarise's eyes flew open. "The Regulators Library in Zone One holds all the works from the Vengeance Library."
"Are we able to access them?" She asked and Jacob turned to look at her.
"I don't see why we couldn't." He answered, tapping his chin lightly. "I'll contact Noah and get him to send word through to The Regulators that we're coming."
"You need permission?" She asked and Jacob nodded.
"The Zones, even though dissolved Pack Lands, are not actual territories of the reigning Alphas, they were gifted to the Regulators after the war." Jacob answered, pulling a book from the shelf and flicking it open.
"While we could storm in there, given we ultimately govern them." He closed the book. "But it's courtesy to call ahead."
He slid the book back into the shelf, walking over to the desk and leaning against it.
"Besides the Zones that still retain the Alpha libraries aren't governed by me." Jacob pointed out. "I'll need to get Noah to contact Merric and Xander and inform them we'll be within the Zones."
Sarise nodded, it made sense she supposed.
"Will the two of them accompany us?" She asked and Jacob shrugged.
"It's up to them." He replied, leaning forward and giving her a peck on the lips.
He pulled away, raising his eyebrows at her in question.
"Something wrong?" She asked, looking up at him and he shook his head, stepping back.
"No." He said with a smile, looking at the books on the table and nodding at them. "You might as well leave looking into the matter until we've been to The Zones." He looked back at her. "Besides, you've been at it all day."
Sarise nodded, stretching in her seat and yawning loudly.
"I might have a bath and go read in bed then." She answered, standing and reaching forward to give him a light kiss. "You have anything else you need to do?"
"I have to look into some information that came from Zone Four this morning." He answered, stepping back and putting some distance between them. "It may take a while."
Sarise sighed, nodding her head and walking from behind the desk, noting he stepped away from her as she walked towards him.
"Problem?" She snapped, glaring at him and he chuckled, shaking his head lightly.
"No, but I really need to..."
"I'll see you when you come to bed then." She called, walking towards the door.
"I'll be up as soon as I can." He replied as she walked from the room.
