Mr. Potter looked at his son not knowing what to do, while I quickly rushed into the room only to see the motionless body of my son with glassed-over eyes.
A strangled sob escaped my mouth and I couldn't hold the tears back anymore. Slowly, I walked closer to my son, hoping for a miracle to happen, for a higher being, for anything just so I could see my son healthy and alive. Sitting down at his bedside I took one of his limp hands in mine and closed his eyes. Like this I can pretend, pretend that he's just sleeping, I can pretend that he's breathing, like this I can dare to hope. At least for a little while.
*unknown location, Sirius*
Darkness, nothing but darkness wherever I look. It would be more precise to say that I can't see anything.
Hello? Is anyone here? – no answer, so I guess It's just me. Alone, but I feel so at peace, no pain, no hurt, just me and endless darkness.
…or so I thought before I heard a voice….
-What brings you young wizard ?- A mysterious voice asked of me
-Why? Who are you? Where am I?-
-State your name young descendant- the voice of a female sounded again.
I wonder why can't I see anything.
There was no fear in me, just peace and slight curiosity.
-State your name, young child. -The voice started to sound slightly irritated, something told me to not provoke the owner of the voice any further and just answer its inquiry.
-My name's Sirius, Sirius Orion Black Heir to the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black.- Why did I spill the title too? It was as if something encouraged me to do so…
-So you are a descendant of mine after all.-
-May I know whom I have the pleasure of speaking to? May I see your face or at least know your name?-At my request, the darkness started to mold into itself slowly creating a shape.
"You may know me as many things young heir black,
A shapeshifter,
An immense source of power,
A myth, A story - while the voice spoke the dark mass in front of me was starting to take up the shape of something with three heads.
- for I am Magic and Magic is me." – with those final words the darkness in front of me stopped swirling and in its place stood something strange. The body of a woman with three heads a dog, a snake, and a lion.
Her appearance intrigued me and so I couldn't help but quip in to lighten the mood.
- I like the fangs - at that, she gave me an amused stare wih a chuckle, which coming from three animal heads is pretty weird.
- I see why you were given this chance to decide. – with a slight shake of her heads they all molded into one, and in front of me stood a gorgeous woman with raven black dark hair and the most beautiful silver glowing eyes I have ever seen.
"Hecate, the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, moon, ghosts and necromancy. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
That left me openly gawking and then it hit me-
" I'm dead aren't I?"
