Lily wasn't there, so Emma assumed she was still having breakfast with her parents and Connor.
She decided to wait it out, knowing it'd be better than intruding or barging in.
It wasn't too long of a wait before Lily entered.
"Emma! What are you doing here? Breakfast-in-bed ended early?" Lily asked.
Emma blinked.
"You knew about the surprise?" She asked.
Lily nodded, "Of course I knew about it."
"I helped him arrange it," Lily admitted.
Emma's jaw dropped.
"You helped plan the surprise…"
"No wonder," Emma said as she made sense out of things.
"So, did you enjoy breakfast in bed with your boyfriend?" Lily asked, waggling her eyebrows.
Emma blushed.
"All went well, although James had important matters to attend to afterwards," she answered honestly.
"Well, that's quite a shame," Lily said, displeased.
Emma raised her head.
