As Connor turned off the television, Emma muttered under her breath, 'What is one supposed to do when Marcus' impostor comes asking questions about on why he wasn't informed about the news of his own son's girlfriend's pregnant with his child, the heir to the throne of Amaris, a huge deal, for that matter.'
"Won't he realize we kept this from him for specific reasons, which isn't truly false considering…"
Lily and Connor both nodded in agreement.
"All the years I've known my father, he'd definitely know something's up," he admitted.
"Either we give him a reasonable excuse, or we're in hot water," Lily said grimly.
She looked at her best friend confusingly.
'I expected you to be more… panicked,' she mused.
Emma chuckled.
"It isn't the real Marcus, after all," Emma reasoned.
"Not that I'm not panicked, though," Emma admitted, shifting nervously.
Yet, it was then she formed a plan.
