"You what?!" Lily asked.
"Em, you invited that she-devil to come to the palace? What if she tries to kill you this time or something?" Lily asked.
Connor intervened.
"Lil, Emma must've had a reason to do this, maybe relax with the questions," he suggested.
Lily pouted, but she stopped with the questions.
Emma sighed.
"She seemed sincere, and if she were to do anything, she lost her only ally to assist her, so unless she shows up to the palace with armed guards, then I'm not in any trouble," Emma reasoned.
James, who was holding Emma's hands, tightened his grip.
If she did show up to stir up trouble, he'd be there.
Or at least, a safe distance away so he'd go unnoticed by Emma.
He didn't want to seem like a helicopter boyfriend, after all.
Even if he was.
