'So she doesn't resent me?" Emma asked.
Connor scoffed, wondering if Emma really thought Lily had the capability to hate her. They were close enough to be sisters. Nothing would ruin their relationship. Let alone allow a small disagreement to ruin their relationship. They were best friends, for life.
"Quite the opposite, really. I don't think she'd stand up and defend someone she loathes so much so that she'd explode on Carina," Connor reasoned.
"Speaking of Lily, where is she exactly?" Emma asked inquisitively.
"I have no idea," Connor replied, having let Lily go on her own after her outburst.
"I figured she needed some time to cool off, so I didn't follow her," Connor admitted, much to Emma's dismay.
James stared at his brother in a disapproving manner.
Connor shrugged, mouthing, 'What was I supposed to do?'
James sighed right before Emma stood up.
"I'll go find her," she said, determinedly.
