James immediately went quiet, having not yet realized that until she had said it aloud.
"Em, baby, I'm sorry," he apologized.
Emma smiled.
"It's fine," she somewhat lied.
"It's just a sensitive topic, 'is all," she explained.
James sighed.
"No, it isn't fine, I should've remembered that," he said as he blamed himself for not realizing his mistake.
Emma shook her head.
"We can discuss this all we want," Emma started.
"Although let's postpone it to later," she said next.
She looked at her boyfriend.
"If memory serves me right, you have a ceremony to attend," she asked with a raised eyebrow.
James scoffed.
"You're putting this all behind for my sake?" He asked.
"I know how this was important to you, you sure, Em?" He asked, seeking validation.
As a response, Emma approached her boyfriend, standing up on her tip-toes to kiss him on the cheek.
