'You are not dying today,' she told herself. 

'You will NOT be dying today,' she said to herself, correcting her previous statement. 

She opened her eyes to see Julius and Gabriel across her. 

"Where is the other hostage?" Julius asked, calm, although the fires of fury that burned in his eyes crystal clear.

Gabriel answered for Emma, pointing at the window. 

"He exited through the window, Julius," Gabriel said offhandedly. 

Julius slapped his ally. 

"I can see that quite clearly," he said bitterly. 

"What I was asking was where was he, not how he escaped, you moron!" He exclaimed angrily. 

He glared at his niece. 

"Did you have something to do with it?" He asked. 

"Quite a coincidence, the king leaving the woman his son loves," Julius said. 

"It was almost as if he was told to leave," Julius started. 

Emma scoffed.
