He had prepared for this, the very day he'd meet his significant other's parents. This was a first. Then again, Lily was his first girlfriend, so… it came with the territory.
"Relax, they won't bite," Lily assured, "They're quite the cool parents."
"Of course they are, they raised you, after all," he said nonchalantly before muttering under his breath, "But it doesn't mean I won't try to impress them any less."
Lily looked at her boyfriend in awe, before whispering to him, "I just hope you know, no matter what happens, you don't need their approval for us to be together."
"You're implying they won't like me," Connor said with a sad pout.
"Of course they will," Lily assured.
Resting her head on his shoulder, she asked, "Besides, who wouldn't like you?"
Connor was flushed.
"You're an amazing flatterer, know that?" He praised.
"Only the best for my just-as-amazing boyfriend," Lily flirted.
