'WHERE IS SHE?' James wanted to yell, even if he still knew it was his fault she was gone to god-knows-where.
His calm pace had turned into a fast sprint, and seconds later, he found himself running as fast as he possibly could, checking every single room in the palace, shouting for Emma.
She was nowhere to be seen, and all the searching he did lead to nothing. He still hadn't found her. She might've reached someplace else, all alone.
From Lily's shouting, he had found out Emma hadn't eaten anything with the exception of a few deserts, along with being exhausted with practically no sleep. Add that to the fact she wasn't at her best state of mind, and she was put in danger.
The sun was beginning to rise, and James hadn't remembered how long he looked for her when a maid had tapped on his shoulder, having important information that James had to know.
