Lily almost choked.
"You mean, they're engaged?" She asked.
Connor nodded slowly, wondering where she was getting at.
"Yeah. A fiance is someone you're engaged to, Lil," he said as if it was obvious, which it was.
Lily took the other glass of champagne in his hand.
"And yet I never knew someone like that sister of yours was capable of love," she said, taking a sip.
Connor muttered under his breath, 'You and me both.'
"At any rate, they're not engaged because they're in-love," Connor started, "They're engaged because it was an agreement, or an arrangement of sorts."
Lily smirked.
"Wouldn't that mean that you'd then have blood-relation to Courtney, if Carina does marry him, you'd be Courtney's uncle, James as well," Lily reasoned, grinning from all ears.
Connor looked at Lily dryly.
"Well, she's changed, hasn't she?" He reasoned.
Lily shrugged, her mind focused on something else.
