Chapter 3 - Chapter Two

When I opened my eyes and looked at my arm, I saw a nurse with a syringe injecting a tube of blood into my body. Her eyes flickered up to mine and she looked back down. She had a very thick Muse accent. Muse accents are not unpleasant, they can get annoying though. They sound light and soft, with dainty sprinkled in, if that's possible. They sound like maybe they were a voice actor for a kid's show. She spoke.

"You better hurry up and get to Seribra, this injection doesn't last very long." I nodded.

"I know, I'm getting transported there." She smiled and giggled annoyingly.

"Good! That is smart." I nodded.

"I know."  She took it out of my arm and held her necklace over the wound. Two water droplets fell out of it and healed my wound. I looked up at her wide eyed and she smiled.

"Water from Muse. The water there is healing." The girl looked at me and handed me a syringe.

"What is this for?" She smiled.

"In case your injection wears off while you're there, Dr. Nurogoshi is less then trustworthy." I nodded.

"Right, thanks." I said as I shoved it into my front pocket. She nodded.

"No problem. Besides, you save our galaxy day in and day out, the least I could do is make sure you don't die." I blushed and sat up.

"Alright, am I done?" She nodded.

"You're all set. Just check out with Mr. President." I got up and pressed a button in the elevator. While I was going down, I looked at the Quarantine. I wonder though... How do those creatures feel about a place like that...  A place of no escape. I shook myself from my thoughts and walked into Nathaniel's office when the doors opened. He looked to me and smiled.

"How do you feel?" I felt annoyed for some reason.

"How do you think I feel dumbass?!" The words spit out of my mouth before I could stop them. If I keep on talking to the President like that, my badge will be revoked.  I covered my mouth.

"I'm so sorry!" I shouted as he laughed.

"Lightning dear, it's okay. It's just the Seribian majik talking." I nodded.

"R-Right..." I told him goodbye and headed out the doors to the Starcatcher. I got in and waited for it to start. I heard it rumble to life 2 seconds later and take off into the sky. I heard it count down to the teleportation time.

"Teleporting in.. 5."  I closed my eyes and sucked in a breath.

"4."

"3."

"2." I let the breath out.

"1." And I heard the noise of the ship being zapped in the loop of teleportation. When I opened my eyes, the Starcatcher was neatly parked in some burnt bushes that barely covered it. I saw it put up it's Ornate shield and turn invisible. I smiled and took out my Holographer, typing in 1192 and pulling up the holographic map. I touched it with my pointer finger and spun it to where I assumed I was. I then zoomed into the spot with my finger and smiled as I looked around.

"Looks right to me, now let's go find this place." I walked down the path that didn't exist and looked at the map occasionally.

When I reached the building, There was no door. I frowned. Nathaniel warned me about this, but he can honestly be full of shit sometimes. Guess this time, he wasn't.

"Well then how the hell do I get in?" I asked silently. I suddenly had a suspicion. I moved along the wall and put my ear to it. I knocked on different spots. I was about to give up when I knocked on a spot and it opened. I smiled to myself and walked in. I looked at the giant flight of stairs and then down at the holographer. Only 1 hour left. These stairs would take at least half an hour to climb. I looked around at something else I could use, and in the far corner I saw a transporter. That could work, but it would most likely have a password on it. I thought for a moment. If I got the password wrong, an alarm would be set off. I went for it anyway, I could take the risk if it means I can find out if another planet is in danger or not. I walked over to the transporter and l looked at the keypad. I bit my lip and thought for a moment. I chuckled and typed in a number. When I pressed enter I cursed.

"Shit, I accidently typed in my birthday! I was about to run to the Starcatcher and fly off, but I was suddenly transported into the middle of a room. I looked around and let out a sigh of relief seeing nobody was in the room. I pondered though. Why was the password my birthday? I heard voices coming near the room I was in and I hid behind a metal rectangular box. I thought. This must be for reinforcements. But for what? I looked carefully to see who was coming in. It was Mistis and her men. She gathered around the transporter and pulled up a hologram. She turned to them.

"This is the layout of Aura. Now, here is the spot where they keep all the Lumanite stones we need for the new weapons we are going to use to steal the new planet from Nabine." I held in a breath, how typical of them. One of the men spoke.

"Mistis, it is said that the Lumanite stones need to be wielded by a person that has good intentions. Are you sure we are worthy?" Mistis raised her eyebrows and got in his face.

"Are you suggesting that I am not pure enough for a rock?" she spat as he shook his head.

"N-No, but the Lumanite stones are not just a rock." Mistis rolled her eyes.

"Don't tell me shit I already know! Now, you're either with my plan, or against it. If you don't agree with me I'll throw you in the lava and find someone who will."  He gulped and nodded. Mistis smiled.

"Good. Now my plan is to take over Aura and make a base there so we have access to the Lumanite stones at all times. Nabine does not know of these stones yet, so we can use them in the weapons and take them by surprise." A different guy spoke up.

"But Mistis, are you sure that Nabine doesn't have anything up their sleeve, I mean, they are a planet that relies on their brains, so what if they have discovered the stones and they are just toying with us?" Mistis smiled.

"I'm glad you asked corporal. Nabine has a selfish tendency to rub things in people's faces, specifically when they find something first. This only alerts us that they know, and we should move onto finding something stronger and better. So if Nabine hasn't rubbed it in yet, they have either learned their lesson or they haven't found it. Knowing that Nathaniel has a greedy side to him, I'll go with the second option." The man nodded.

"So when should we strike." Mistis smiled.

"Aura is at its weakest when it's moons are all on different sides of the planet. They often call that a Simul moon; which happens to be 30 days from now. That is when we will hit." He smiled as I furled my eyebrows. I'm aware of our planets utmost weaknesses, and I've never heard of a Simul moon before.

"Well what about Nabine? As soon as they hear of a planned attack on Aura, they will take action." Mistis nodded.

"I know. That is why we are headed to the control room. We are gonna see if they have tinkered with anything on this planet. I'm not worried anybody is here though, this atmosphere would kill anyone from Nabine in 3 seconds flat. Let's move men." They all left the room and the map up. From what I could see, the map was on a computerized chip. I ran up to the transporter and typed in my birthday, removing the chip from the panel and jumping out the window to the Starcatcher. I deactivated the Ornate shield and got in. I looked at my watch. 20 seconds left. I took the syringe that the nurse gave me and injected myself with it. The ship started up and I hologrammed the president.

"Lightning, what have you got?" He said. I shook my head.

"Nothing good. Seribra is planning to take over Aura and build a base there to have a endless supply of a stone they call Lumanite. They plan to use it to create a new weapon that can take us out so they can take over the new planet that was recently discovered." He paused and anger was clear on his face.

"Do you have the stone's location?" I nodded.

"Yeah. They had the map on a computer chip. I managed to get the passcode and I took it. I'll send a copy your way. I would send the real thing, but I need it so I can find the stone on Lumaria." The President nodded. I decided to leave out the part of the code being my birthday, since I didn't feel that it was all that important yet.

"Right, well thanks for the report, I will discuss this with the senate immediately. Try to get back quickly." He said as I nodded.

"It shouldn't be too hard to get." And I closed the Holographer. I typed in the coordinates for Aura and walked to the back of the ship. I swung the door open and a room with a bed, toilet, and sink was in it. I walked over to the bed and layed down. My eyes closed into a peaceful slumber.
