As a child, I grew up with a strong faith in the Lord. You heard it right, I grew up in a church in Bataan and I went to a Seminary School here. Father Abilah is the priest who is close to me, he's the one who open me about our Lord, do you know the bible is the first book I read. I have been with them for 15 years and then one day, Father called me because he had an announcement for me.
As I walked towards the altar I was already nervous about what I was thinking. "Father, I'm already here", he turned to me holding a brown envelope. "Maximus, it's good that you're here, so you really want to know what my announcement is for you", he said and I nodded.
He came down and handed me the envelope, "Me and the other church members thought that because you grew up with us and here in the church, we want you to experience living in a good and peaceful family so we put you into adoption", words that turned my world upside down because I was getting closer to them.
He knelt down with one foot and patted my shoulders, "I know it's hard but we want your life to be peaceful, we don't want your abusive family kept on visiting you. Don't worry I know the family so I trust them ", I hugged him and I cried. I really miss them so much, they were the first to make me feel love more than my real family.
He let me go, "Okay so your brother Jose will take you to your house to pick up your luggage and take you to your family". "Thank you very much Father", I said and I got into the church van.
