Chapter 5 - The Stone

Seven days later I awoke in my bed; everything had been put back to normal before. [ I thought it might have been a dream]. But as I looked around the room I noticed something a large white stone propped up against the wall. This was like not stone I had ever seen. With intricate vains of a lighter white running through it; and at the very top was a small circle that was gold in color. the stone was no more than 1qoe (Qu-o)

or 3 ketit (K-tet) (1meter or 3 feet).

I stood up and walked over to it. The stone was warm to the touch; like an early summer day. As I stood there in curiosity the door opened (I was still in the same clothes) and a nurse walked in. as she walked in and saw me crouched over the stone she let out a loud squeal as it rang through the castle she ran saying the prince is awake the prince is awake. And everyone was happy as the mood lightened throughout the castle.

See the reason they were so joyous is that for some of them this was the boy that they raised. (honestly no one give credit to the maids that actually raise the princes and princesses. I was also a well known face and was on a first name basis with most of the servants and was in good relations with the head chef and his wife. Once I told him if I ever were to come to his house to be ready to cook. three months later I showed up. Now some of you would be upset that I showed up at his house uninvited but it is actually considered an honor. They also get a title called Royal Holder. It doesn't actually have benefits other than bragging rights.

So most "staff" or servants were ecstatic when they heard the knews that I was awake.

Before long Tallos (Tal-o-s) The name of the Arch-Mage came in. "Sire glad to see you awake, how do you feel." he spoke in a proud but cautious tone. "Quite good actually, just a little sore." I replied questionably. This was because I was asleep for I dont know how long. He perked up when I said this but kept his composure. I then asked the obvious question, "What is this stone". His answer was surprising, "That is what hit you". "But it is far from a normal stone and it is not my place to tell you".

At the exact moment my Chamberlain (who had a thing for giid timings) walked it but was not alone. Behind him walked an Elf. This elf was quite peculiar on the fact of his garments. He wore a black woolen robe with a symbol on the left side of the chest. Twin golden dragon heads with a red background.

It seemed familiar but I couldn't place it so I decided to put the thought in the back of my mind. He then did what surprised me the most about his moment. He bowed to me this was astonishing to say the least.

Elf Noble Tier

Tier 1

The Elf Queen/King: Highest respect Bowed to while on the knee

Dragon King/Queen: Highest respect Bowed to while on the knee

Tier 2

Elf Lord: Respect kneel

Dragon Rider: Respect kneel

Guild Head: Respect kneel

Tier 3

High Elves: Respect bow (elves with authority granted by any of the above)

Craft Master: Respect bow (master smith)

House heads: respect bow (family leader)

I knew that for some reason I was in the tier two of elven noblety. if a high elf meet a guild head they would only bow. if a Dragon Rider meet the elf ruler they would kneel. If two of the same tier meet they nod

Since he seemed like a High Elf it was akward for me as it was so unexpected. He saw this and introduced himself. "My name is Conesh (Co-ne-sh) and I am a high elf of the riders guild." I then spoke, "So you must be the one who can explain to me about this stone." gesturing to the rock. "Yes I am," he returns then says "but that is no stone it is a dragon egg."
