"What are you doing?" Kaito questioned, blocking Rem's path.
"Move." Rem growled, glaring at Kaito.
She needed to complete what she was doing, fast. Having others in her way is only going to waste more of her time. However, she cannot kill Kaito, just like before when she was with Samael.
"Are you finally back?" Kaito asked, walking towards Rem.
"Get out of my way...!" Rem roared.
She tried to fly past Kaito, but before she could do so, Kaito managed to stop her in mid-air.
"I guess you still haven't come to your senses yet. Well, that doesn't matter either way. Apologizes, but it's not time for you to gain your consciousness back just yet." Kaito spoke aloud as he moved his right hand towards Rem's forehead.
Right before Kaito could touch Rem, Rem quickly pulled back and threw a humongous shadow fireball that's the size of a whole street at Kaito.
*KABOOMMM!!!!!
That was the sound of Rem's attack destroying a large portion of Arka City. Everything that was hit by the shadow fireball was turned into small pieces of debris and melted materials. This included the flesh and blood of everyone who couldn't dodge or withstand the extremely powerful and blazing hot attack.
Grey smoke covered the area, making it hard to see.
"I hate repeating myself." Rem mumbled, turning to where she was going.
She was headed towards Arka City's castle while the real Rem who's currently trapped inside the dark space can't see or hear anything beyond that place.
...
More and more chains surrounded Rem. It seemed endless. All her struggles were pointless and energy-consuming.
'How long have I been in here for? It feels like years had passed already...!'
The chains dug into Rem's skin. At this point, Rem has gotten used to it. She even gave up on trying to get out of those chains by using sheer force.
...
The smoke has almost all disprised. Just as Rem was leaving towards Arka City's castle, she heard someone yell.
"You're not it!" A familiar voice yelled in a disappointed voice.
Rem turned around, only to see Kaito, flying in the air next to her, perfectly fine without any injuries whatsoever.
"How...?" Rem whispered, beginning to become cautious of Kaito.
She assumed that nobody survived her attack because she didn't sense anyone alive nearby.
"I think it's time for you to go, whoever you are," Kaito stated, appearing in front of Rem in an instant.
He touched Rem's forehead, causing some kind of red symbol to show up.
"NOOOOO!" Rem screamed in agony.
She was clenching onto her hair, hard. After a moment, Rem passed out, falling to the ground. Before she fell to the ground, she fell into Kaito's arms.

...
All of a sudden, the black chains changed into black smoke. The smoke soon disappeared, shocking Rem.
'How in the world...?'
A bright white light appeared in Rem's vision and she too, blacked out.
"up..." Rem heard a familiar voice say.
"...ake up...!" The familiar voice said.
"Hey, wake up!" The same voice said.
Only this time, the voice became louder and clearer.
Someone flicked Rem's forehead, causing her to suddenly open her eyes.
'Ouch... What...?' Confused and in a daze, Rem blinked then covered her eyes with her left hand from the brightness of the sun.
When her vision cleared, who she saw was none other than Kaito.
"Have you finally come to your senses?" He asked.
Rem pushed Kaito away, falling downwards towards the ground. For some reason, she couldn't use any magic. Thankfully, Kaito caught Rem before she fell flat on the ground.
"You're so dumb." Kaito sighed.
"Why can't I use any magic?" Rem asked, staring at Kaito straight in the eyes.
"Why do you think? Maybe it's because you let someone or something control you, and use up all of your mana. Your mana is below zero right now. There's something called mana overuse." Kaito explained, rolling his eyes.
'No wonder... I feel exhausted. I really thought I was going to be trapped there forever...' Rem sighed in relief.
She looked at her surroundings, unsure of where she was.
"Where are we?" Rem stared at the enormous crater below.
"Arka City, of course," Kaito answered.
"What happened?" Rem sounded perplexed by what she just saw and heard.
"Whoever controlled you used up all of your mana to create this mess," Kaito replied nonchalantly.
'It must be the system's doing...!' Rem cursed herself in her head.
"I see... Thanks." She quietly said.
"You should also be thanking the other Kaito. He was the one who didn't want you to die." Kaito stated.
"I'll make sure to thank him too." Rem reassured.
"Huh... You've changed. Like a lot." Kaito pointed it.
He flew down to the ground and let Rem down.
"Really? I feel like everyone's telling me that these days." Rem responded, trying her best to stand up without falling.
"Be careful of who or what you decide on trusting. This world can be very deceptive. The more you know, the more dangerous it is."
'How did he know someone was controlling in the first place?' Rem wondered.
"Alright, got it. I'll keep that in mind." Rem finally said after a slight pause.
"Do what you want. Farewell." Kaito smiled.
Then, his smile disappeared and his eyes looked as if they were out of focus. A few seconds later, a surprising look replaced Kaito's previous expression.
"Rem??!" He seemed shocked.
"Good afternoon, Kai." Rem gave Kaito a small smile.
She needed to know more about what happened and what's happening.
"Right, I'm back in my body now..." Kaito looked at where he was.
Thanks to Rem's mana being below zero, she needs rest to recover them all. This also means that she can't use any of her mana and that includes not using her stealth skill, transformation skill, and everything else that requires mana.
Despite Rem not having any mana and her being exhausted, she could still use her martial arts and great senses.
In the distance, Rem could see a group of demons flying in their direction.
"We should hide." Rem suggested, grabbing Kaito's left hand with her right hand.
"As usual, your senses are amazing," Kaito claimed, running with Rem.
"Cut it with the pep talk." Rem said coldly.
Kaito smiled slightly.
