'I don't feel Lawrence's presence anymore. It should be okay to leave now.'
"Thank you for the hospitability. I'll surely pay you back one day."
Rem bowed. Alex, Izel, and Chloe bowed as well.
It was 2 in the afternoon. Rem already has everything ready for the journey to Leroy City.
'When I get to Leroy City, I'll need to grind some levels. I haven't leveled up at all these days. How can I defeat strong opponents if I'm this weak...?'
"You're welcome." The naiad said with an indifferent face.
Rem waved goodbye then she swam up the lake as she brought Alex, Izel, and Chloe up with her by using her shadow magic.
'Leroy City is... This way, to the West.'
"Get on," Rem ordered.
Making sure nobody was around, Rem shifted to her monster form.
"W-Wha—"
Chloe's eyes went wide, staring at Rem with a bewildered look on her face.
"Izel has never seen this species before...!" Izel claimed, observing Rem carefully.
"Hehe... You should be glad you're traveling with this great being." Alex stated, giggling at Chloe's reaction.
Rem laid down, letting Alex climb on her back.
'I'm faster in this form. I created an invisibility barrier around us. As long as nobody goes in this barrier, they shouldn't be able to see us.'
"Get on!" Alex yelled, gripping on Rem's snow-white fur that has black stripes on it.
The animal she looks the most similar to on Earth is the white tiger, except she has wolf ears, and two foxtails.
"Izel is up," Izel announced.
Alex was at the front, with Izel sitting behind him.
"Grab my hand, Chloe."
Izel reached out her right hand. Chloe nodded, grabbing Izel's hand with both of hers. Izel pulled Chloe up effortlessly, seating Chloe behind her.
'I can't speak any human languages in this form. I can speak the languages monsters speak though.'
Rem ran towards the West at full speed.
"AHhhhHHhhHHHhhH!!!!" Chloe screamed, clenching Rem's fur tightly.
'Maybe this is too fast. I guess I'll slow down a little.'
Rem slowed down slightly. Chloe sighed, catching her breath.
"Izel won't let Chloe fall off. Izel promise!"
"Thanks, Izel." Chloe smiled.
"Jeez... Didn't the great being say to hold on tight earlier? You should have listened. That can't be helped since you don't seem to listen to others well."
Alex shrugged, causing Chloe to become pissed off.
"At least I'm not an airhead like you," Chloe argued.
'When will they get along?' Rem wondered.
She didn't want to listen to the two of them fighting again.
"Grrrrr...!!!" Rem growled.
Alex and Chloe immediately became quiet.
'Leroy City would take a few days to get there if I was in my human form.'
Master, you can get there by tomorrow morning at this speed.
'Yes, that's if we don't run into any problems. Well... I hadn't been in this form too much. I kind of like this form better than the last time I was in this form.'
Rem, Alex, Izel, and Chloe got to enjoy the wind and great weather.
...
"Oh, no..."
Karina stared at the horror outside the cabin. She froze up when she saw that many demons raiding Orthio City, killing every living being in their sight.
"Holy...!"
Oliver was sitting on the couch, happily eating as much food as he could. He stopped eating after seeing what was happening outside.
"Is this city going to be taken over by the demons too?" Oliver asked, standing next to Karina.
"I hope not... What should we do? What can we do???"
Karina faced Oliver, looking at him with worried and scared eyes.
"We're going to leave, obviously. I'm going to get my stuff. Tell Yukio to get ready to leave. While you're at it, tell that annoying nerd that we're leaving."
"B-But how can we leave all these people here? Just to let them... Die...?"
Karina was perplexed, trying to keep her calm.
"We can't do anything. Unless you want to get killed. Go help out if you'd like. Rem wouldn't want to see her first friend die, would she? Anyways, I'm leaving with the twins." Oliver said coldly.
"Yeah... Um, where are we going?" Karina questioned, knowing what Oliver said was right.
"We're going to the North. All the way to Yusio, the Beast Kingdom." Oliver answered.
"Alright... I... I'll do what you say."
Karina sighed. She felt weak and useless.
"Maybe this was how Yukio felt..." Karina mumbled, leaving the cabin to notify Yukio about leaving to the Beast Kingdom.
Oliver walked inside his room, locking the door behind him.
"Gosh, what in the world is father doing? Aw man...! If any of her comrades die, she's definitely not going to let me off. I don't want to die yet! This is such a pain... "
Oliver furrowed his brows, rubbing his head in frustration. Then, he shook her head.
"Urgh, my head..."
Oliver plopped down on his bed with his face on his pillow.
"I need to obey his command... Wait... No, no, no...!"
Oliver got up, shaking his head from one side to another ferociously.
"Hah... I need to get them out of here first. Don't think about it, don't think about it..."
Oliver began to pack up his things quickly.
