After a while of following, there was suddenly fog everywhere. The fog didn't cause Rem to lose the people she was following. Even though Rem couldn't see, Rem used her hearing. Roy did the same. A few long minutes later, Rem found herself entering a village.
'No wonder this village didn't get raided by these creatures. I guess this island isn't small. It's actually quite large.'
"Who are you people and how did both of you get here??!" A villager asked, pointing at Rem and Roy.
Other villagers began to gather, staring at the two unwelcomed visitors.
"What's going on?" An old man's voice could be heard.
"Tribe leader... Somehow, they managed to get in here." A villager from the crowd explained.
'Tribe Leader, huh...'
Rem inspected the old man's stats.
[Name: N/A]
[Race: Ancient Ogre]
[Role: Ancient Ogre Tribe Leader]
[Level: ???]
[HP: ???/???]
[MP: ???/???]
[Element(s): ???]
'As expected, he's a strong one. It's inconvenient to become unable to sense where and how strong your enemy is.' Rem thought, looking at the Tribe Leader.
"My apologies, everyone. They must have followed our hunting group here..." The half-ogre Rem inspected earlier said, bowing.
"I have no intentions of hurting any of you," Rem exclaimed.
"Wait." The Tribe Leader said, raising one of his hands up.
"Don't do anything. First, I want to know how you know our language." The Tribe Leader ordered.
"We should speak somewhere else with fewer people." Rem suggested.
"Alright, follow me."
"But Tribe Leader—"
"It's fine."
The half-ogre backed down, glaring at Rem and Roy. The rest were either glaring or staring at the two of them.
'How rude... I mean, I understand why they're like this... I'm unwelcomed, so it's no surprise.' Rem thought, entering the Japanese-styled house the Tribe Leader entered.
"Come, sit."
Rem placed her knees on the floor and rested her buttock on the top of her feet. The tops of her feet were flat on the floor. The Tribe Leader was shocked. This sitting position was supposedly only known by their race and their ancestors, yet Rem knew how to sit the way they did. Roy stood there, staring at the Tribe Leader with cautiousness.
"Who are you?" The Tribe Leader asked in a serious tone.
"I'm just a normal adventurer who got trapped on this island." Rem answered.
"Why are you on this island? Didn't you meet the Scorbees?"
"I didn't want to be here. I couldn't get out of this island anyway. Yes, I did meet those flying insect creatures." Rem replied.
"You must be strong then. If you're trapped here, it means you're not a human." The Tribe Leader pointed out.
"You see, our tribe has been living here for many decades. This island used to not have these dangerous creatures. At least not until some humans built a facility near here. We tried to get them off our island, but many of our men ended up getting captured. Around a decade ago, those people created these flying creatures. It seemed like they were trying to create a powerful creature and then failed. After that, they created the barrier that didn't allow any living being except for a human to leave this island." The Tribe Leader explained.
'Ah... There are people here. I won't erupt the volcano. If I did, this whole island will be destroyed, meaning their home will be destroyed as well.
"Were these people in black and red clothing?"
"No, they weren't. They were wearing some kind of suit."
'That's a decade ago... I feel like this has to be something related to that green reptile creature I saw last time. Back then, they were also trying to create a powerful creature.'
"Do you know where the facility is?"
"It's been a decade. The facility is probably in ruins by now. I believe it's located near the volcano."
"Alright. Roy, let's get going." Rem stood up.
The Tribe Leader watched the two young people walk out of the house. Outside, Rem spotted someone eavesdropping. It was a boy with blazing red hair that's above his shoulders, orange eyes, and two small, black horns that stuck out on his head. He also has a large, greatsword that was being carried behind the boy's back.
"What are you doing?" Rem asked the boy.
The boy jumped in surprise.
"You! Take me with you!!!" The boy demanded.
Roy glared at the boy.
"My apologies. This is my grandson. He's only 10 years old and knows nothing about this situation." The Tribe Leader shook his head at the boy.
"No! I want to go." The boy argued.
"A few years ago, my son and many other men left and tried to get the people in the facility off this island. Instead, they were all captured. I don't know what had happened to them..." The Tribe Leader said sadly.
"If you don't want to die, don't follow me." Rem warned, exiting the village.

'I don't think a facility would be this small. Could it be underground like before...?'
「Although it's faint, I can sense a teleportation circle. It's coming from under all that rubble.」
'Alright, I'll check...' Rem raised her right hand and swung it to the right, using her wind to create a powerful wind blade, causing all the rubble to turn into smaller rocks and fly elsewhere.
'You're right. There's a teleportation circle right here.' Rem walked towards the teleportation circle.
"Roy, stand on this circle," Rem ordered.
Roy did as he was told and Rem put her hand on the circle. The circle shone in blue color and teleported both Rem and Roy.
'002, where are we?' Rem asked, looking around her surroundings.
{You're under the volcano.}
'What??!' Rem didn't expect that answer since it wasn't hot at all.
She never would have thought anything would be under the volcano.
「Master, if you take a turn to the left, you will see large tubes with some kind of liquid in it. There also seem to be creatures in these tubes as well.」
'It's weird how you can sense stuff here even though nobody else can.'
「I don't know how I can do that.」
'Anyways, these flying creatures are bees, aren't they? If their queen dies, they would most likely run away or die. I mean, defeating the boss of these bees would be the best solution. We can see what happens after defeating the boss. If these flying creatures don't surrender, we'll have no choice but to kill them all.' Rem thought, sighing.
'002, locate the boss of these flying creatures for me.'
{I knew you were going to ask that. I already did.}
'Thanks.' Rem opened the map.
'Wait... The boss is here???' Rem was slightly confused.
"Roy, be extra alert. I'm sure we just entered the enemy's home..."
