After watching the fireworks, the group followed Kaito to the place we would live in for a few days.
"This is the place." Kaito walked inside a large, wooden cabin that was located next to the beach.
"Whoa!!! It's right next to the beach! Thank you for getting this place, Kaito." Karina smiled brightly as she entered the warm, new home of theirs.
"It's nothing," Kaito replied, his ears turning slightly red.
"We're going to live in this place??? How did you even afford this?" Oliver asked, clearly impressed.
"That's none of your business," Kaito said coldly.
"Humph, you should just get used to me because I'll be here for a long time!" Oliver argued.
An invisible lightning spark could be seen between Kaito's and Oliver's eyes.
"Um, Kio... You and Yuki hadn't spoken a word for so long... Are you both alright?" Karina asked, facing the twins with a worried face.
"I'm fine," Yukio exclaimed.
"Yukio... How long are you going to be like this? Do you want your sister to get hurt again? If not, then get yourself together!" Rem snapped.
Yukio's eyes widened. Everyone's attention is now on Rem. Nobody had ever heard Rem yell before so they were all shocked by Rem's sudden outburst. Rem didn't want Yukio to be like this forever. She knew Yukino was acting like this on purpose, but she didn't think it's a good idea to tell anyone yet. Plus, she wanted to find out what Yukino's planning.
"Yes, you're right. What am I doing? I could have used all this time to get stronger. The stronger I am, the more likely Yukino wouldn't get hurt!" Yukio was determined to protect his sister at all costs.
"Thanks, Rem. After letting Yukino rest, I'll be outside training." Yukio announced, entering the cabin.
"By the way, there are four bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom," Kaito stated.
"Yukino and I will be taking this room," Yukio said, closing the door to the room he claimed.
"I'll be in the same room as Roy." Rem concluded.
"Eh??? I don't want to sleep with the boys!" Karina complained.
"I guess it can't be helped. I'll be in the same room as this guy right here." Kaito suggested, pointing at Oliver.
"Hey, I have a name!" Oliver argued.
"What a coincidence, I have a name too," Kaito said without looking at Oliver.
"I really don't like this guy..." Oliver mumbled, glaring at Kaito.
Everyone went to their rooms to rest except for Rem, Yukio, and Kaito. Yukio went to the backyard of the cabin to train right after seeing his twin sister fall asleep. Seeing Yukio train by swinging his sword, Rem seemed satisfied.
'I don't think they will ever be back to who they were before... What in the world is Yukino planning anyway?' Rem wondered, following Kaito.
Kaito stopped when they reached the beach shores.
"What is it that you want to talk about?" Rem asked.
"I want to make a few things clear... You were the black figure I saw at night, weren't you." Kaito stared at Rem with a serious expression on his face.
'I don't see the problem with telling him that it was me.'
"Yes, that was me." Rem replied.
"What were you doing at that time?' Kaito questioned.
"Stealing a few books from the school library." Rem answered truthfully.
"You mean the library nobody's allowed in...?"
"Yes."
"Then, are you working with the Demons?"
"What?" Rem thought she heard the question wrong.
"Are you working with the Demons?" Kaito asked again.
"Are you seriously asking me that? Why would I work with the Demons???" Rem tried to contain her anger.
"I saw you shift from a monster to what you are now," Kaito admitted.
"You saw... Alright, there's no reason for me to hide this any longer. Yes, I'm a monster. Even if I'm a monster, I promise you that I would never hurt any of you guys." Rem said sincerely.
"The problem is, you're an intelligent monster. How would I know you're not lying? What if you really were working with the Demons?" Kaito doubted Rem's loyalty.
'Is he questioning my loyalty? Really??? Ha...' Rem sighed.
"Believe what you want." Rem didn't want to speak with Kaito any longer since she knew nothing would get to him no matter what she says.
'Why should I bother to speak with him if he's doubting my loyalty? I'm a monster... I mean, it's understandable. Who would trust a monster...?' Rem thought to herself, without looking back at Kaito.
'Ah, my head...' Rem rubbed her temples.
When she looked up, she saw Roy standing at the cabin's entrance.
"What are you doing here, Roy?" Rem asked tiredly.
"Do you want a night ride? I can feel that you're not feeling too well. Maybe flying around a bit would let you feel better." Roy suggested.
"Great idea. I think I need it. First, let's get farther away from here." Rem walked towards the farther side of the beach.
Roy followed Rem from behind. Rem could feel a pair of eyes watching her. She knew who was staring at her without looking back.
'Kaito...' Rem shook her head.
"Use invisibility. After you're invisible, shift to your dragon form." Rem ordered.
"Okay." Roy nodded, becoming invisible then shifting back to his dragon form.
"Get on, Master."
Rem turned invisible as well and got on her invisible dragon. She didn't need to see Roy. She could sense where he was at all times. Roy flew and took off. They both received a beautiful view of the night sky and city.
"Thanks, Roy." Rem smiled.
"Of course," Roy replied.
Although Rem was worried and stressed out before, she forgot all her worries for a short moment. The two of them flew around the city for a long time.
