Rem got ready for class the next day. She wore her uniform. Rem has to wear an inner shirt that was white and had three small buttons she had to button so her chest doesn't show. Around Rem's neck, there was a place where she could put on her blue tie with white and black square patterns. It was autumn so she also wore the school uniform's jacket (the one without any fur). The jacket had seven small plastic buttons. The school uniform's jacket was black with a white outlining. Rem wore the skirt that had the same patterns and colors her tie had. After finishing putting her uniform on, Rem went to class 1E.
'Class 1E, 1E... Where is that..?'
Rem wandered around the school and finally found her class. There was the 1E sign on the door. Rem walked in, hoping she wasn't late to class. Thankfully she wasn't. If she was late by a minute, she would have been late to the homeroom.
'That was close...'
Everyone in the classroom couldn't help but stare at Rem.
'Urg… Why is everyone staring at me..?'
Rem ignored the stares and looked around the classroom. The classroom was surprisingly normal. When Rem walked into the classroom, the blackboard was to the middle right of her. The seats and table were on the left. The tables were long enough to fit two people's belongings so for each table, there are two chairs.
'There are nine tables. So that means there are 18 seats in total...'
"Oh hey, Rem!" A familiar voice called to Rem.
Rem turned around and saw Karina.
"Oh hey." Rem smiled.
"Come sit here!" Karina said, patting her hand on the seat.
"Sure I guess..."
Rem walked to Karina and sat next to her.
"Yay! We're friends right?" Karina asked.
"Nope." Rem replied.
"Aww..." Karina pouted.
*Pfttt...
"Did you just laugh at me??!" Karina's face became red.
"You're surprisingly funny." Rem said, giggling.
"I was wondering, why did you want to change dorms?" Karina asked.
Rem thought for a moment and made an excuse.
"It was awkward when I was with you so I decided to change dorms. I didn't want to bother you. Plus, I prefer living by myself anyway." Rem replied.
"Oh, I see... Is it ok for you to tell me why the principal wanted to see you? I'm curious. It's not every day you see the principle you know."
"Meh, she just wanted to talk about some matters about which class I should be in."
"Oh..."
A teacher ran into the classroom.
"I apologize for being late. I had some important matters to attend before this." The teacher said.
Rem saw her homeroom teacher. She was the lady who guided her to her dorm and was there when Rem took the test in room 2R6.
The teacher smiled at Rem and said, "As you all know, I'm your homeroom teacher. I'm Ms.Waruki. There is a transfer student here with us right now. Please introduce yourself, transfer student."
"I'm Rem. It's nice to meet you." Rem said while smiling.
Everyone in the class stared at their new classmate.
"Ok now, it's time to take attendance." Ms. Waruki said.
After taking attendance, everyone in the class went to Rem. They surrounded her and asked her millions of questions.
"How old are you?"
"Where are you from?"
"Are you strong?"
"Want to be friends?"
"Wanna hang out?"
Rem just sat there and said nothing. She ignored everyone and faced Karina.
"Karina, what do you want to eat for lunch? I'll treat you only this one time since you are the only person I know in this class.
"Erm... Let's talk about lunch later. I don't know what they are serving in lunch yet."
"Alright."
Everyone left Rem after seeing that they were ignored. Some were still staring at Rem.
"Hey stop staring at Remie!" Karina said to her classmates.
"Remie?"
"Oh, uhh... T-that... was just a nickname I made up..." Karina said, muttering.
"It's fine, it's fine. Call me whatever you want. We're friends aren't we?"
Karina smiled joyfully and said, "Yeah!"
Looking at Karina closely, she realized that she was pretty too. Well, not as pretty as Rem but she's still pretty. Rem smiled knowing that Korina would be a great, trustworthy friend. Rem could feel that Karina had no ill intentions. It's just an instinct.
'Maybe I should help her level up. Having a trusted teammate wouldn't be so bad. It would also make things easier.'

After the morning classes, Rem went to the cafeteria with Karina. Karina looked at the lunch menu.
"Hey Rina, what do you want to eat?" Rem asked.
"Hmm? Did I hear you say, Rina?" Karina said, confused.
"Yup. You gave me a nickname so I gave you one. I'll call you Rina from now on. Is that fine with you?"
"Of course!" Karina said happily with a bright smile on her face.
"So, what do you want to eat?"
"I want a ham and cheese sandwich and an iced coffee with no sugar!" Karina said.
"Alright, I'll pay. Ma'am, I'll like to order two ham and cheese sandwiches, an iced tea, and an iced coffee with no sugar in it."
"Of course. That would be one bronze coin and ten copper coins."
Rem handed the lady the money.
"Ok, here's your two ham and cheese sandwiches. Please wait for your iced tea and iced coffee."
"Iced coffee with no sugar." Rem said.
"Yes, no sugar in the iced coffee." The lady replied.
Rem faced Karina and said, "Rina, here's your ham and cheese sandwich."
"Thanks."
"Your iced tea and iced coffee with no sugar is ready."
"Thank you." Rem said while taking the iced tea and iced coffee.
"Have a nice day and enjoy your meal." The lady said, smiling.
"Yes, have a nice day." Rem smiled.
"Here Rina, your iced coffee with no sugar in it."
Rem handed the iced coffee to Karina.
"Thanks! Let's go sit over there!"
"Alright."
Rem followed Karina and sat in front of her. They talked about a lot of things and before they knew it, lunch was over. The rest of the classes ended pretty smoothly. After class, Rem said bye to Karina and left.
