He followed Gavin down a hallway, not saying much other than his gratitude for Intervar's agreement.
He didn't even acknowledge Ryan, who looked dejected when told he couldn't follow them.
Gavin walked him to a tiny office with nothing unusual about it. But the space was odd in any case, with empty frames on the walls and a desk in the middle of the room with two chairs on either side.
There was no other color in the room save gray. Gray walls, gray floors, gray carpets; everything was gray, but he preferred it to the white that he saw everywhere else.
"Please have a seat; I have a serious question for you." Gavin smiled and took a seat behind the desk.
Intervar took the seat with caution, preparing for an attack.
"Can you tell me what you want to ask me?"
"This is going to sound insane, but we're going to overrule Kirk," Gavin joked.
