"Grandfather." Intervar retorted, not very interested in what he had to say.
"Anything you want to tell me?"
He rolled his eyes, of course the man would try to get answers out of him while he was nearly dead on his feet.
"If it's about earlier, I honestly do not care."
He noticed the other man's face briefly take on an irate expression. When there was no reaction, he turned around, knowing that he would probably later regret it.
"Anything about the overlord spawn that was summoned?"
Intervar froze as it appeared like time had stopped entirely. The stillness seemed almost oppressive. He wasn't supposed to know that, wasn't supposed to say that, wasn't supposed to ask that. He was speechless. He did nothing but stare, like a stupid animal watching as a vehicle hurtled at them.
Slowly, he turned back around.
