Had wanted to ask this question yesterday when Belhart checked Cattarina's condition. Belhart was provoked by Cattarina's ridiculous idea of talking about concubines. Even though the two of them had never discussed that matter before.
Belhart asked Monna again.
"Did you say something that offended you? Or is my father talking about things you don't like?"
Do not believe his question.
Belhart believed that his father was unlikely to abuse the situation or harm his daughter-in-law that he chooses. However, only that question remained for him to provoke Cattarina's honesty.
