Chris POV
When my plane landed at the America, my secretary was waiting for me, I'm a bit tired but my driver drove us to the company.
"Mrs. Lavious is already at your office." Kelly said to me.
We went inside the company and I head straight to the elevator to my office. When I stepped in my office I saw Mrs. Lavious sitting there.
"Good afternoon, my apology if I'm late." I said then look at my watch. "Which I didn't, nice to see you again." I added, I know a bit rude but hey, that's my image in business industry.
We started are meeting, it's all about editing, and she wants to add some quotes at the back of her books, which I agreed. After some time we already finished and we bid our goodbyes. When she left my office I quickly dial Lyrinx's number and he picked it up after a couple rings.
"Hello, my love." I greeted him tiredly.
"You seems tired why don't you go and rest for a bit." He stated with a worry tone.
"I want to talk to you, I didn't get a chance to talk to you when I landed here." I said and he sighed.
"Sir, the meeting room is already done, we need to head out now!" My secretary yelled outside my office.
"Love, I got to go." I said sadly.
"Okay, but take care of yourself okay? and get back home, I already miss you." He said in the other line.
"I miss you too baby, I love you." I stated.
"I love you too." He replied then ended the call.
I headed out of my office then went to the meeting room, the other board members are there but the other isn't present.
"Where are the others?" I asked sternly.
"They can't be here, Mr. Laurence, they have something to go to." One of the members answered, then I slammed my hand on the table.
"Is this not important for them not to come!?" I asked slightly yelling and they all shook their head.
"No, Sir." One of them answered.
•Lyrinx POV•
It's already 3 days now, when Chris left and went to America for business, we still in contact and we always talk to each other when he have a time.
I heard the bell rings and my eyes widened when I saw my cousin, Elijah, walking in, he has a big smile on his face when he spotted me and Sam at the counter and he walked towards us. I gave him a hug when he reached our spot.
"I missed you so much." I said to him while hugging him.
"I missed you too, my dear cousin." He replied to me and pulled away from the hug.
"Hey, missed you too fella." He said to Sam, they're same age and they also friends. We sat down at the place where I sit the most.
"We have a lot catching up to do." He said then we laugh.
"Yeah, you're right." I answered.
"So? how's life?" He questioned.
"It's great, I have now a boyfriend." I replied.
"Really? who is it?" He asked.
"The one who owned this café." I answered proudly.
"Wow, that's great, you're working for your boyfriend." He said.
"Anyways, what time can you go out we can go to mall and roam around like before." He added.
"Wait, I'm going to ask Sam." I said then left asking Sam if I can go now before I went back.
"Sam? Can I go leave now? We're just going to mall and catch up a little bit."
"Yeah, sure Jayson is here so you can go now." He replied and I thanked him before going back to my cousin.
"Let's go." I said to him then we go out but of course I slipped out from my uniform.
We head out of the café and he have a car so we didn't need to wait for the bus to come. He drove towards the mall, and when we got in there parking lot, he parke his car and we both get out off it. We both enter the mall.
"Let's go there." I said then I pulled him to the arcade.
"What are we going to play in here?" He asked.
"Let's get tokens first before we decide." I said then we both buy tokens.
I went to the claw machine and try to get some but it seems like the machinr really hates me, I didn't get one even Elijah didn't get one, so we decided to go and play basketball even tho I can't.
"Let's play basketball." He said then I agree and we both head at the spot of it.
"The one who got lower score is the loser." He added then he inserted two tokens in the machine and starts to throw the balls. Every time he throws the ball, the ball went in, sometimes it missed but mostly it went inside the ring.
"5....4....3....2....1" I counted down.
"That's great, I scored 250, can you beat that?" He asked then smirk at me.
"Of course I can." I lied.
I insert two tokens just like he does and starts to throw the balls. But the balls didn't went in, the ball mostly hit the score board.
"5.....4....3....2...1" He counted down while laughing. I just scored 70, but atleast I did great.
"I thought you can beat my score." He said.
"How can I beat that and you're still amazing at this game." I said then pout my lips.
"And you're still suck at it." He said then laugh at me.
"Come on let's eat, I'm kind of a bit hungry after I beat you." He added then I smacked his arms. We went to the food court and we buy our foods, after we say grace we started to dig in.
"I think it's time for us to go home." He said.
"Aww I still want to hang out with you." I replied.
"We will hang out again, I will be live in here town." He responded.
"Really!?" I asked excitedly.
"Yeah, really come on?" He stated.
"Okay." I said then we head out and he send me home.
"Take care, okay?" He said then gives me a kiss on my forehead and a hug.
While hugging him, I saw Chris glaring at my cousin, he pulled him away from me and punch him to his face.
"What are you doing, Chris?" I said the pulled him away from my cousin.
