Chapter 51 - XL-II

"Anshil!"

A voice exclaims from a distance. The boy name Anshil looks at the source of the voice and smiles at her. "Eeli!" the boy exclaims back, making his way to her, who has a big grin on her face. "I miss you!" he said and hugged her tightly. Anshil is in love with Eeli ever since they were still kids. Eeli went away and train with the other Angel Gods while he stayed back home like the good dog he is. Many had already told him that a wolf and an Angel God cannot be mates because it is impossible.

He never believed them and continues to love Eeli despite the warnings from his parents and his wolf-mates. Now, Eeli had gone back home and he was so happy to play with her again. He is now having his delightful talk with Eeli when an Angel God, who has bright blue wings, called Eeli over. Eeli looks at the source of the voice and calls him. Eeli smiles like there is no tomorrow, Anshil is curious about the guy and as to why Eeli smiles like that to him. Eeli looks so in love with the Angel God.

The guy sits beside her and kisses her on her cheeks. The gesture made Anshil's heart stings. It hurts him and he felt like he is crying. Eeli looks at him with a smile and declares that he is the guy who she will marry. Anshil's world suddenly stops at the news but he smiled at them despite the fact that he is hurt. He congratulates them on the marriage and spends the whole day talking to them. His smiles were painful and his heart is broken but Eeli is still her friend, so he endures the pain that he is feeling.

That night, he did not go home. He doesn't feel like going home after the news about Eeli's marriage. He walks down the deepest part of the forest and walks through the branches under the bright moonlight that shines throughout the forest. He walks and walks until he sees a dead tree and sits on its trunk. He is thinking of asking a living God to make Eeli realized that the guy she loves won't love her at all. He prays intently and speaks in an unknown language and moments later, a beautiful Sage had listened to his aid.

He said his wishes but got rejected by the Sage since it was preposterous for a wolf and an Angel God to be mated. Anshil was heartbroken. He never thought that even a living God would never believe something like that would've happened. He never went home after that. People from his village have been looking all over for Anshil. Even Eeli who noticed his missing presence is worried about him. They have been searching for him all throughout the forest.

One night, Eeli felt a familiar presence when she was walking through the woods after taking a bath. She was so excited to turn around and surprise Anshil but she is the one who got surprised. The creature in front of her is not the Anshil she knows. She steps back away from the creature but the creature did not move forward. It was just as if looking at her and not bothering to attack her.

The creature just stands there not moving at all, just staring at Eeli before smiling and walking away. Eeli was stunned as she watches the creature disappears into the darkness. She told everyone about what happened that night. Now, everyone is on high alert.

Billie finds out about the news that a wolf had turned into a Sluagh and asks every single living God and Sage to answer the question of who did this to the poor wolf. Zarzagoa, the most mischievous Sage at that time, admitted that it was her fault that the young wolf would do such a thing. She even started her reason for doing so but Sartilliane said that it is possible that a wolf and an Angel God be mated. Zarzagoa did not believe such a thing but even the former princess said that it is.

Zarzagoa felt guilty of her judgment, she told the residents of Anshil's disappearance and the monster that roams the forest. She said that it was Anshil's soul after he died, leaving the information of Anshil turning himself into a Sluagh because of her. They believed her with all their might and held a funeral and some prayers for Anshil's death.

Eeli did not get married to the guy that she likes when she realizes that the guy did not love her as much as she loves him. She still mourns for Anshil's death but she couldn't do anything about it. She just wished him a happy life in the afterlife. She got married a few months later and gave birth to a baby boy, who she named Lirian Arne Indra Uru Samoene, also known as Larius.

Agus had it coming. He knows that Keres will be the one killing him. He knows that his boy is capable of handling Angel's angelic sword. He smiles before Keres beheaded him, seeing the spirit of his best friend above Larius' head and he knows that, Larius is indeed Eeli's kid. As he closes his eyes and the darkness engulfed him, he hears a familiar voice coming behind him. He turns around to see Eeli standing over the grassland waving at him with a smile on her face.

"Anshil!"

Agus almost cried when she called him. It has been a thousand years since someone called him by that name. He was not sure that someone could even remember that name of his. He steps on the grassland as he felt a tingling sensation on his feet. He looks down and sees his gray paws and black claws. He gasps inwardly as he looks at the woman he ever loved.

"Anshil!"

She calls again, and with tears in his eyes, he runs towards his direction and jumps on top of her, snuggling on her neck as they laid down to the grassland. "I miss you!" Eeli said with tears on as she snuggles into his fur and kisses his forehead. "Where have you been? I have been looking for you all over the forest. Why did you leave?" she asks non-stop, making Agus flinch with every question asked. Agus stands up and looks at her with fondness and love. He leans forward and brushes his nose on Eeli's cheek as she giggles at how cold it is.

"My beauty," Agus said as he kisses her on the lips. She kisses back and they talked all night long. Eeli finds out that his son is mated with her little boy, which made her happy very much. She smiles and stares at Anshil with her eyes filled with unknown emotions as if she never felt them before. She never knew missing Anshil could give her the time she needs to make her feel the love that Anshil gives away. Now, she is happy that her son met Anshil's son, and she just hopes that they will love each other as Anshil and her love each other.

The Sluaghs suddenly stop in the middle of fighting, and they just fall down like dead robots that lose their chips or controllers. All the other living Gods and Angel Gods stop and watch them freeze and drop like dead flies. Zarzagoa frowns and was about to go near the battlefield when Salthifer pulls her back and asks her to stay on her spot as he approaches the battlefield. Sartilliane saw her brother and looks at him with confusion. "Brother!" she exclaims, putting her sword back to her side and lowering her shield down.

"What is happening?!" she asks loudly, making the others hear her speak as she questions her brother with everything that is happening in front of them. "I've got a special message from Phantom Island!" Salthifer announces with his voice so loud that everyone can hear every syllable he spouts. "Agus has been defeated!" Salthifer exclaims, making everyone gasps, and Alviary, who had just arrived, almost claps his hands with such accomplishment. He and Jethro had just arrived after rescuing the people of Biringan and restoring the place so their creatures could live there again.

He looks at the Jethro whose eyes were half-opened from exhaustion, Alviary chuckles and lets him sleep for a moment under the shade of the big tree. Jethro nods and sleeps there for a moment when he suddenly felt like the tree suddenly moves. He immediately stands up, making Alviary jumps in surprise, as they look at the tree moving. Salthifer saw the tree moving and exclaim one name that made Sartilliane growls.

"Cartilliannae!"

Salthifer said loudly, making the others look at the moving tree. Alviary and Jethro walk away from the moving tree when the vines suddenly loop around Jethro's waist, making him unable to move to where Alviary is. "Jethro!" Alviary exclaims, but before he even reaches for the titan's hand, another vine loops around his waist and pulls him along with Jethro. The large moving tree engulfs both of them as it closes before Sartilliane even cuts the vines and releasing them from Cartilliannae. As the tree opening closes, Sartilliane lets out a frustrated sigh and said,

"Shit."
