Chapter 12 - II

It has been days since I met the young man who saved me from a bad spirit. I have been visiting grandma's grave every single day hoping to see him again.

This will be my last visit since I am going back to the city tomorrow.

But I have a gut feeling today that I may see him for the last time. I pack up everything that I need and went on my way.

I put my headphones on and played some music to hummed while I walked to my grandma's grave.

It is not that far just 15 minutes away from where we live. But there is something today that made me feel like stopping and want to go back to our house.

I continued walking until I reached the cemetery's gate.

I looked around and everything looks normal. I walked past the gate and when I turned towards my grandma's grave, I saw tiny blinking lights from a distance.

I didn't mind it thinking that it might be someone else's car. I went on my way but something is still bothering me.

As I got near to mg grandma's grave, that feeling becomes heavier and heavier so I stopped for a while.

I held my hand on my chest and I applied my hand to my chest and I felt my heart pounding. I can't figure out why I'm nervous.

I did not eat anything bad for my body. I am also not tired because I did not walk far. I walked again to my grandmother's grave.

When I got there, I sat for a moment when I heard a sound in the distance. I removed my headphones and turned around to find the source of the sound.

I did not see anything unusual in the area. There was no one else in the grave with me. I continued with my purpose and prayed for my bereaved grandmother.

I looked up at the sky and remembered what had happened to me on my first day here and the young man who had saved me.

I just laughed to myself and I hurried home to pack up all of my belongings for tomorrow.

I arrived peacefully in the city. There was no problem with my trip.

Even though my other cousins cried because it took me a long time to come home again, I brought happy memories back to the city.

I went to my dorm and removed the belongings inside my suitcase. I arranged it in the closet on the side of the door and I slept a little first because I was a little tired on my trip.

I was sound asleep when I fell asleep and it was as if a man was standing behind my door. I get up and sit on my bed away from the man standing.

I tried to shout and ask what he needed but my voice suddenly seemed to disappear. I tried to run but it was as if I was tied to my bed and something was holding me back.

I prayed fervently and again asked for help from the white wolf. I uttered the words I had memorized over and over when I was a child.

When I woke up, the one who had just been standing in the doorway was in front of me. I was sweating from what I saw and cried and prayed out loud. Later, I saw the white smoke I had seen in my room again.

I heard spiritists again utter words that invigorate the white wolf. I could clearly see the wolf pulling the hair of the evil spirit and he hit it on the wall.

The spirit died quickly after he struck it.

I looked at her and she was about to touch me when I remembered my grandmother's order for me. That the white wolf is a sacred creature should not be touched lightly.

I withdrew my hand when it suddenly looked at me. "How many times have I saved you from evil spirits and you are just in trouble? I am running out of power because of you," he said angrily.

I just looked at him.

"I thought I would save you for the last time in the cemetery where your grandmother was buried. I just thought that. Now, I can't go back to my world because I don't have the magic to go back." he madly said.

It looked at me quickly and looked away from me again.

He closed his eyes and uttered words I did not understand and after a while, his appearance suddenly changed.

He looked human after what he did. I did not know what to say to him. I do not know what he means by saving many times.

I just stared at him and wondered what I should say.

We were just staring at each other for a few hours when he suddenly visited and said, "This is my human form. Yes, I am the white wolf that your grandmother always tells. Yes, I was the one who saved you in the cemetery and when you fell into the abyss as a child," he explained.

I just nodded at him. But in my heart, I still could not believe that there was a real white wolf.

I thought at first he was just a childish story based on a legend. I did not know that everything my grandmother told me before was true.

I looked at him again and asked, "How can you come back?" He just looked at me and said, "I don't know."

I looked at him confused as if asking if he was joking or not. "I don't even know," he insisted.

"This is the first time this has happened to me so I do not know how I will return," he explained.

"Wait, where do you live?" I curiously asked him. He looked at me directly and said the place that if I was a spiritist, I would've believed him.

But I'm not like that.

So I looked and laughed when I found out what he said, he looked at me quickly so I knew he was telling the truth.

"Biringan. I live in Biringan." is what he said.
