But what would this mean?
This would mean nothing but she was independent and she would not rely on him.
He is free to do whatever he wants and she would do whatever it would take to take care of herself.
She doesn't want to rely on him or to make him stop from doing something that would cause any sort of trouble for herself.
Why? Because she did not consider him as a part of her life yet. He is not the part of the people that can be considered as the ones whom she trusts the most.
He is not a person whom she could control. That is what she thought.
She is still in the stage of wondering if he was her friend or her foe. Before confirming it herself, she would not show her back to him. Nor would she ease in front of him.
