It has been three years since the Nara twins have been born, and three years since the kyuubi attack. Shikamaru and his twin Shikahana, were currently watching the clouds. It was peaceful, there was no sound.

"Hey Shikahana?" Shikamaru asked his twin. 'yes Shikamaru?' She signed to her brother. It was now known to her family, and Shikamaru's few friends, that she is a selective mute. So, they were taught sign language to communicate with her.

"Why don't you talk?" she paused and looked at the clouds. This question was brought up before, however it always went unanswered or was given a dumb answer.

'I don't think I can, I tried, but I could never seem to get my voice out of my throat.' she signed back. This was true, on her own she would try and speak. However, it came out distorted, like static or something, so she just never spoke. "I see." Shikamaru said, looking back at the clouds.

"We should go, mothers probably mad since were late." Shika said, yawning as he stood up slowly. Shikahana nodded, also getting up slowly.

They made it into the Nara compound main house, but not after getting an earful from their mother. "Just go upstairs and get cleaned up, dinner will be ready in a few." The twins nodded. Going into their separate rooms to get cleaned.

However as Hana(Shikahana's nickname) entered her room, there was a creature in there. His name was Shizaku. He was odd, and apparently was made by Shikahana herself.

He was invisible to everyone but her, unless he made himself known. He was tall, around 10'2. He had dark black skin, that was just like a shadow.

He had long spiky dark purple hair, that was to his lower back. His eyes were also odd. His sclera was black, while his iris was white. His pupil nonexistent.

He had elf looking ears that are pointy, but not so much to hurt yourself. He also had black deer horns

that sat on top of his head, and a deer tail. He wore a fancy purple suit with purple gloves.

Shizuka was with her since she was born, unlike some other Shadow creatures. And unlike her family, Shizuka can understand her distorted voice. "H-HeLlO sHi-IkAhAnNa!" he exclaimed, his voice glitching and stopping every now and then."hęłłø §hįžųķą" She replied, her voice staticing and breaking.

"aLmOsT tImE fOr DiNnEr?" he asked, she nodded. After that mini conversation he dissapeared in a bunch of black smoke. She quickly washed her hands and face, cleaning up a bit before her mom called. "Kids, dinner is done!" she quickly made her way downstairs where her father and mother were already sitting, food on the table and everything.

She took a seat next to her father and not long after Shikamaru came down and sat next to their mother. "Itadekemasu" (sp?) they spoke/signed, in unison before eating.

Dinner was usually quite besides the small talk, and the asks of the days and stuff. Eventually they all went up for bed, except Hana, she just stayed up and talked to Shizuka all night.
