Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Just One part 1

"Hello Inua." Sasuke said walking beside her, coming out of nowhere.

"O-oh h-hi Sasuke, I hope yesterday wasn't too much trouble. Ryōshi replied with a stutter.

"It was fine, don't worry about it too much."

"Uh oh sorry, force of habit."

"Why are yo-?"

"Ryōshi!" Naruto shouted, interrupting Sasuke.

Out of nowhere Ryōshi and Sasuke sees Naruto launching himself towards her for a hug. Soon after both Naruto and Ryōshi fall to the ground, with Naruto successfully hugging her.

"Good morning Ryōshi and what are you doing with the emo kid?" Naruto asked with a slight whisper.

"H-hey N-Naruto good morning."

"Who are you calling an emo you insignificant fox?" Sasuke glaring at Naruto.

"What did you just call me?!" Naruto yelled bitterly as Naruto stood up.

"I doubt you will understand what that means as an idiot."

"Ugh, why I outta-!"

"N-Naruto, S-Sasuke we need to go to the academy, we are going to be late."

"Oh your right Ryōshi I don't want you to be late." Naruto said, carrying Ryōshi around his arm.

"Do you mean we don't want to be late and why are you carrying Inua like that? She can walk by herself." Sasuke stated.

"That's none of your business." Naruto replied.

"Ugh." Sasuke groans.

All three of  the kids made it to the classroom and sat down on their seats, but Ryōshi was a little curious about Sasuke and how distant he is from others. With that thought class went by like a flash, and then it was lunch.

"Hey Ryōshi can you wait a moment? I need to go to the bathroom right quick." Naruto says.

"Alright I'll wait for you here then."

"Be right back!" Naruto yelled while running.

At the same time a few girls walked by.

"Do you think it's ok to ask Sasuke to eat with us or is it still too soon?" One of the girls asked the group.

"I don't think so, he still seems upset, it's been 4 weeks." The other girl replied.

"That's true, but he doesn't have to give everyone glares." One girl stated as they all walked past.

"Glares? Sasuke seems to be very caring from the very short moments I see or talk to him, but the kindness part was forced by Naruto. But this morning he started to have a conversation instead of just walking past me. So maybe something-" Ryōshi thought.

"No, it's bad to get into Sasuke's business like this. I need to stop doing this. It seems weird outside of the clan." Ryōshi muttered.

"Ryōshi, earth to Ryōshi Is anyone in there!"Naruto yelled.

"N-Naruto! Sorry I was lost in thought, and you didn't have to yell, you could have tapped my shoulder."

"Sorry, but I'm just hungry!"

" Hmm you didn't eat anything at home?" Ryōshi said with  concern.

"Hu-Huh!? N-no I just have a really big  appetite!" Naruto said with a sweat.

"Hm.... ok if you say so. Aunt Nya made a big amount of food so we could split it. And I think she made spicy fire phoenix, the food she made you yesterday."

"Hell yea, aunt Nya is the best! I can't wait to try more of her cooking! I'm definitely planning on coming over often." Naruto shouted for joy.

"If your parents are ok with it of course." Ryōshi replied.

"Uh-of course, of course.."

In the meantime Sasuke sits on the bench by himself, it was normal for people to see Sasuke by himself but you could see his eyes were happy or excited to go see his older brother. But now they are all dark with a feeling of sadness and grief, for the traumatic events that happened about three weeks ago.

"Why is my food so tasteless now, but this food is so bland I'm sure I put everything in right." Sasuke thought.

With that Sasuke lost his appetite and repackaged his bento and decided to take a nap on the bench until lunch ended. Slowly but surely Sasuke falls asleep and starts to dream about what happened early this morning.

Sasuke

After yesterday it made me a bit frustrated because of that hyperactive idiot of a person, who wanted to help some girl. I just wanted to be left alone with all the condolence letters and gifts from the past 2 weeks.

I went out of the house and started to walk to the academy and unfortunately had to go in a different direction; again because of that idiotic fox of a classmate. Although his friend seems to get it.

[Flashback]

"But I thought you were the type to be distant to others, let alone not helping them either. That's kind of one of the reasons that I keep my distance, so I don't bother you."

[Flashback Over]

"Do I really look like that or was it a guess? Ugh really doesn't matter."

There I saw Inua not so far from where I'm walking. To my surprise I ran closer to her, called on her.

"Hello Inua."

"O-oh h-hi Sasuke, I hope yesterday wasn't too much trouble. Inua replied with a stutter.

Why does she always stutter in the beginning of almost every sentence she says? And why so apologetic, it's not like it's her fault.

"It was fine, don't worry about it too much."

"Uh oh sorry, force of habit."

It's very nice to see a person not be overbearing, not going around asking me annoying questions, and trying to force them to be friends with me. It's a relief. But why is she so weird?

"Why are yo-?"

"S-Sasuke."

"What?"

"S-Sasuke! N-Naruto wait don't pus-"

With a sudden shift of weight and then pain. When I blinked to see that I was in a different place.

"What just happened?"

I stood up to see Inua in front of me with a concerned expression on her face.

"O-oh sorry, lunch has ended and everyone was heading back to class and you were sleeping so me and Naruto were trying to wake you up."

"You don't have to keep apologizing for just being a good person, Ryōshi." Naruto commented.

"Why was I on the ground, I was on the bench when I fell asleep?"

"Oh, I pushed it to speed up, you're welcome." Naruto replied.

"YOU DID WHAT, HOW STUIPD CAN YOU BE! YOU WANT TO DIE!"

"I LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY THAT OUT!"

"Guys don't fight, I don't want you too to get hurt! A-and it seems that we are making a s-scene." Inua stated.

I look around to see kids looking around us with some being confused or hateful eyes to the argument.

"Ugh! Fine, let's get going Ryōshi!" Naruto yelled.

"Ugh.."

Third POV

"Ok now that everyone is here, for the rest of the day we are going to have sparing matches. We are going to see what you have learned, Ryōshi. You will be the exception since you came here rather recently, but it's your decision if you want to participate." Iruka says.

"Uh I-I don't mind participating." Ryōshi nervously replied.

"Ok then, we will start with the leaderboard, rules, and then the sparring. Give me a few minutes to make the leaderboard."

[Time skip]

"Ok here are the rules, first if the competitor is jointly locked, held in kunai point or the opponent is unable to continue, then the other participant will be the winner! Secondly, the jutsu that we had learned will not be used here. And everyone has to participate, you have to shake hands with each other in the beginning and end of the match." Iruka states. "Is there anything questions about this?"

One of the kids raised their hand. They had long dark brown with the underside being darker, that went to their lower back. It was tied down close to the end of their hair. In the front one the kid's right eye and a major part of the forehead was covered by their bangs. They had a pale blue long sleeve shirt and black pants. But the weirdest thing is they had their other eye closed, but still able to see.

"Yes Kyosu?"

"How is the ranking or rounds said up for this?"

"It will be graded by strategy and combat. For example someone with a high combat score versus the other being lowest, this is only to see your improvement." Iruka explained.

As Kyous nods, Iruka looks over to the moveable chalkboard to see who's going first.

"Going  first is Hiroki and  ki, with Hiroki having a high combat but low strategy."

"Ugh, how many times do I have to prove that strategy isn't everything!" Hiroki stated.

Hiroki steps out of the crowd of kids with a wide toothy grin. Hiroki had spiky black mid length hair that slightly curved towards the end of her neck and short length bangs. It was held back by two braids on the sides of her head and tied together in the back.

Hiroki had emerald green eyes with red markings like fangs on her cheeks. She is wearing black elbow protection, baggy pants that reach to her ankle, and a gray t-shirt.

"Hiroki, Ki, please shake your hands and start." Iruka says.

After a few seconds of them shaking hands the fight started. With a speedy start Hiroki quickly went for a punch to the stomach, but  Ki dodged by pushing himself back a few feet to get some distance, with that mind Ki tried to assess the situation.

"With how fast Hiroki is, she is definitely honoring Inuzuka's name. But this may be easier than."

"—Hey, are you going to hit me or pretend to look like a statue!? Less thinking, more fighting!"  Hiroki shouted.

As for before Hiroki runs to make but towards, with the same motion charging for a punch with a slight lean. When Hiroki was just about to make a connection towards Ki, he moved his face down quickly to push Hiroki's leg up and over his head. Hiroki falls to the floor and quickly gets up, but Ki makes a swift yet hesitant kick towards her side. Much quicker this time Hiroki jumps back up and consciously circles around Ki to see what he was going to do next.

Ki goes for a punch then another and another straight to the face, but somehow none of them were very hard to Hiroki surprisingly.

"Huh, why is he punching me so soft like I stubbed my toe on a table?" She thought.

When Ki was going for another punch Hiroki bends backwards and kicks him in the jaw as she lands back on her feet. Ki staggered back a bit, but straightened out. Unfortunately for Ki, Hiroki tackled him to the floor and pinned him to the ground.

"You need to hit better than that next time." She said with a grin.

"Alright, the match is over. The winner is Hiroki Inuzuka! You both will get a 50." Iruka states.

"Huh?!" Hiroki yelled.

After the sparring match many others went after, somewhere slower than others but eventually it was Naruto's and Sasuke's fight.
