Chapter 33 - Chapter 32: An Interview Pt 1

Once it was Saturday, people seemed excited about the upcoming music video by the future Crown Princess. A lot of people had reserved tickets to go and see the premier live at the school. Normally, people have their options to watch anything "live" at the school. There is the traditional stage and seating option that feels the most liveliest.

Some say this was the best way to watch anything recorded because it had a realistic 3D effect with the hologram system emplaced. With this feature, it would seem like the actors would be right there in front of you.

Others said that if it was recorded, you get a better version in the private rooms as the 3D holograph functions would still work in a more personal space, making it seem like you are a part of the performance.

When it came to private rooms, there were some private enclosed booths in the actual performance stage room, but any classroom could also function as a private room for larger parties. The holograph boards that the teachers would use for teaching would turn into the screens that would let them see the performances.

There was also a way to watch it straight from your own home, which many people who could not get a ticket to watch it on site would opt to do. They could still function just as well as a private room would, depending on the model of the home device. The last form was to watch it on their personal CDs.

Whichever way one preferred or could get, was the way that they had planned to watch after buying the ticket. It would also go to free public access much later in the evening, for anyone who could not watch it on time or those who simply could not afford the ticket.

The Royal Academy would often make a small profit after every month when they held the public showcasing. Today they expected the numbers to be able to reach a much higher profit margin with the anticipation of the future Crown Princess' video.

Another reason that everyone seemed very excited was that they were going to interview the future Crown Princess during the live feed. This would be her first public appearance other than when the Crown Prince had proposed to her at school. The common people wanted to get to know her this way since they could not got to school with her as well as older nobles.

Elizabella had gotten permission to do the interview by the royal family. She also knew that if that was true, then the reporter would have been briefed on what they can and cannot ask her. Before she had to leave to the Academy, she was given a list of possible questions that the reporter would ask her. She quickly had the list memorized and even had a passible answer for each question.

For the interview, she had decided to wear a knee length, boat-neck classy-modest navy blue lace dress with sleeves. She had paired it with some dusty pink pumps and a rose gold pendant necklace. She had her hair half up in wavy curls with a navy blue ribbon holding it up. Lastly, she decided to change her glasses to the ones in the music video, which were rose gold shades.

Her engagement ring would always flash on her perfectly short manicured nails. As an artist, she found that long nails would be a bother and considered very unclean within the upper noble families. Still, she would always have them manicured in nude tones so no one ever really noticed when she would have them made.

For her make-up, it was always nude tones as well, just enough to say that she had put some on but never more that it was noticeably caked on.

This was the day that she would be by herself in front of everybody. She knew that the royal family was testing to see how she would respond and how she would do. Elizabella understood as she was sure that the old Queen of Edalelia would very much do the same thing. Growing up around royals, she knew exactly how to conduct herself in public that was deemed acceptable to any royal.

At the last moment, she started to feel a little nervous, like she does for everyone of her performances, even though she is very much used to appearing in large crowds back home. Soon, the nerves died down as she took a deep breath and went to the waiting vehicle to take her to the Academy.

**********

There were crowds waiting at the entrance of the school for her. When her vehicle and escorts appeared, they all started to make some noise as they were excited to see the future Crown Princess, whether they liked her or not. The vehicle she went in was not her normal dark tinted one as everyone could see her face.

When she was close enough to the people, Elizabella smiled gently and waved to the crowds. The reporters were also out there standing and waiting for her arrival and had begun to record her since the moment they saw her vehicle hover down from the sky to the entrance of the academy. They watched as she waved at them and complimented that she looked like a natural royal smiling and waving at the crowds.

Seeing her like this, the people back at home and even those who were there present all thought that the future Crown Princess seemed like a good fit for the royals. They watched as her vehicle was escorted by a team of royal police and parked in front of the school. The headmaster was waiting along with some of the higher personal for her and greeted her when she got out of the vehicle.

With great poise, the reporters saw her exit her vehicle and walk off with the school heads. Elizabella was led to a private room with the reporter waiting for her. Kyrstyan Andreu was the reporter that was going to do the interview. Kyrstyan had dressed up in a modest Biscay Green suit with a white blouse and beige heels. She had her hair up in a bun as she smiled at the new arrival.

"Lady Aphra Harkins, I presume," she stated confidently as she shook hands with Elizabella that had also smiled at her while she elegantly shook her hand in front of the recording camera.

"Yes. May I presume that you will be conducting the interview today?" Elizabella asked with a gentle smile on her face, making Kyrstyan's eyes seem to widen briefly as she smiled back.

"Yes, my name is Kyrstyan Andreu and I will be conducting your first public interview. Please, have a seat," said Kyrstyan as she sat on her chair while Elizabella also did the sat on her own chair. "So let us begin. One of the questions that many people seem to want to know about you is why do you wear glasses."

"Well, I actually do not wear normal glasses, as all my glasses are actually shades," said Elizabella coolly as she knew that this reporter must be forbidden from asking too personal of questions like if she was really pregnant with the Crown Prince's baby.

"Really, the glasses that everyone sees you wear seem to be thick and possibly medicated," stated Kyrstyan as Elizabella continued to keep her cool as she smiled at her.

"That is the point. My shades are worn because I have sever light sensitivity and covering my eyes with my shades is the best way to control the issue. My favorite ones happen to be the ones I use in school because they do not look like shades. Imagine being the only one in school wearing shades everyday. I feel like I would stick out too much," Elizabella giggled softly at the thought, making Kyrstyan chuckle as well. "The ones I am wearing now are symbolic gesture of 'seeing through rose colored glasses'."

"It is known throughout the school that you are the only one in attendance with a full scholarship. What is that like and how that come about?" asked Kyrstyan with an inviting smile.

"I had been living with some rich relatives for the better part of my life. When it was time to move back, my parents wanted to continue giving me a much better life. They had said that they could afford to let me go to school in the capital. To be honest, the Royal Academy was not my first choice, but I thought that it would be better if I did go there with a full ride scholarship.

"Whichever school I went to, I had to make sure that I received the scholarship as I did not want to be an economical burden on my parents. It helped that my grandfather had left us a home here to live in," responded Elizabella as she had rehearsed this answer since before she started to go to the Academy.

"And the burning question that everyone wants to know, when did you and the Crown Prince meet?" asked Kyrstyan as Elizabella knew that even if that question was off limits, it would still need to be addressed eventually, but she had a plan for that question already.

"Well... he and I met when we were little. We just lost contact to each other until we met in school again," said Elizabella as she somehow made her cheeks blush and she smiled shyly, appearing the very picture of a young girl in love.

"I see. Well, I am being told that the music video that you have made for the Crown Prince is about to begin. Shall we pick this up when it is finished?" asked Kyrstyan as she knew she was not allowed to probe too deep into their relationship, making Elizabella smile widely and nodded elegantly.

"Yes, let us continue afterwards."
