Welcome to Tsuki Sakura Town!
Laeta stared at the passing sign, bored out of her mind while ignoring her talking mother. "Laeta! Are you even listening to me?" Her mother yelled. Laeta pulled her gaze away from the passing trees and sighed. "Uhh..." She glanced at her mother. "No." Laeta answered sheepishly.
Her mother sighed. "Look sweetheart, I know you don't want to be here..." Laeta scoffed. "Understatement of the century." She mumbled but her mother carried on like didn't even say a word. "But at least try to like it here, Laeta." She pleaded
Laeta groaned in exasperation. "You always say that when we move to a new place. Please mom, when is this going to end, huh? Us moving from town to town to get away from dad and don't give me that bullshit that I won't understand." She snapped at her mother.
Mrs Isogai sighed wistfully and gave Laeta a sad forlorn look. "That's why we're here where it all began before you were even born, honey." She stated softly. Laeta glanced at her mother confused and asked worriedly. "Mom, what do you mean?"
Her mother sighed sadly before answering. "We all begin somewhere, dear. Our story started here in this very Town until it happened." Laeta looked at her scared out of her mind by that small sort sentence. "Mom, you're scaring me." She whimpered.
Mrs Isogai chuckled softly and patted Laeta on the knee. "Listen to being all gloomy. Why don't we stop at the Café and get something to eat." She said pulling over at a small café called Guns & Roses. Laeta got out of the stuffy car and followed her mother into the small café.
"Welcome to Guns & Roses. Where we serve you sweet scams! How may I..." The waitress trailed off when she saw Mrs Isogai. "Oh My God! Mina is that you?" Mrs Isogai looked startled before she recognized the waitress. "Asui, is that you?" She asked uncertainly. Laeta was slightly startled and completely confused at what was happening. "Uhh...mom?" She asked unsure.
Mrs Isogai smiled at Laeta. "Laeta, this is Asui Kaminari. We used to go to the same school growing up." her mother explained to her. Laeta smiled awkwardly, rubbing the back of her neck. "Ah... Nice too meet you... I guess..." she mumbled. Asui chuckled softly and ruffled Laeta's hair. "Well it's nice to meet you too, young lady." She turned to signal the blue haired teen behind the counter. "One Strawberry Milkshake and a Caramel Latte, Takeshi."
The boy, Takeshi grinned and gave Asui a thumbs up. "Sure thing, Mrs K." Asui turned back towards Mrs Isogai and Laeta. "Why don't you guys sit down while you are wait for your drinks." Mrs Isogai looked shocked before asking. "How much do I owe you for the drinks?" she asked taking out her wallet.
Asui giggled at her friend. "Mina, it's on the house." she said walking away. Laeta sighed and slunk down in her seat. "This place is weird." she mumbled to herself. Mrs Isogai turned to her and asked. "You say something, dear?" Laeta shook her head looking around the shop before sitting down at one of the tables.
In all honesty it looked and sounded like a normal Cafe until you saw the people who walked in and out the back without getting into trouble with the management. Just what the fuck is this place? She thought to herself discreetly watching the people who walked into the back. They went in looking like normal people but those who came out were dressed strangely. They had what looked like weapons and weird gadgets on them.
Somethings up with this place Laeta thought frowning. "Here you go!" the boy, Takeshi, her mind supplied, as he placed the Strawberry milkshake in front of her and the Caramel Latte across from her. "I'm Takeshi Terasaka by the way, resident prankster and protector of young fair maidens." he introduced himself extravagantly with a little bow at the end.
Laeta looked at him weirdly. "Uh...." she trailed off unsure of what to say. "Laeta Isogai. Nice to meet you.... I guess?" One of the other waitresses with blueish black hair and golden brown eyes stopped and grabbed Takeshi's ear and pulled causing him to whine. "Ignore him." the girl said with a smile. "His an idiot and likes to exaggerate about a things. I'm Mitsuki Mimura this idiot's best friend and keeper."
Laeta smiled softly and said with complete understanding to her predicament. "He sounds like one of my old friends from a few years back so I understand your pain." Mitsuki smiled and let go of Takeshi's ear. "Well someone's gotta keep him in line." she said pointing a thumb at him while he mock glared at her before straightening. "Whatever." he mumbled sullenly. "Hey you going to Tsuki Academy?"
Laeta looked up from her milkshake startledly. "I guess so...." she trailed off uncertainly. Takeshi grinned. "Sweet! I'll see you at school then!" he said cheerfully before walking away making Laeta frown slightly. Mitsuki smiled down at her. "Don't take him to seriously. He's practically harmless and a lovable goofball." she explained as Laeta nodded her understanding. "Well, I better get back to work now. So I guess I'll see you around then."
