"Why the hell would I?" his tone was weak yet his arrogance didn't fade away even an inch. He grabbed his horse before whispering something to it.
And the next moment the horse moved like it understood his words. "What's between you and that horse anyway?" I sat on the ground while holding my two legs with my hands.
That scene looked weird to be real.
"He can understand me," he spoke in a way that told me that stupid horse wasn't an animal, but a person.
"Is it your pet?" I tried to understand him better.
"Neigh!" Yet the answer came from that horse who dropped a bag to the side of his lying master. The two big eyes of that horse made me feel quite uneasy.
It was like someone was staring directly at me in the eye.
"What?" I tried to shake it off, yet all it did was to shake its big head and move to stand beside his master.
"What are you doing?"
The brief moment while I was busy with that horse, that man took the bag, opened it, and grabbed a strange bottle from inside.
The bottle was made of a strange ore, like copper and silver mixed together in parallel lines. If not for those weird engravings over the sides of that bottle I would have believed these lines were engraved by someone.
"I told you," he opened the lid of that bottle and gulped its content. "I have a mission to do… I can't lie here doing nothing. I came all this way here for that!"
"Came… from where?" I couldn't help but ask while wondering about his weird determination.
I was that prince he was looking for, and as far as I know my life wasn't in any danger at all.
"Woosh!"
"Wow! How did you do that?!"
The next moment his body suddenly shone in bright blue light. His muscles bulged a little while the weak vibe he was giving off vanished and was replaced by another stronger one.
A very intimidating air appeared all of sudden from his body. I couldn't help but stand. I didn't feel the fierce shaking in my body until a few moments later.
It was like standing in front of a wild monster, a monster that wasn't from this world.
"Who the hell… are you?" I finally managed to control my fear while watching him stand like there was any wound there at all.
He turned to face me with his blue eyes. This time they were shining like two little stars went missing from the black skies. I felt mesmerized by his look, and suddenly all the fear inside me was gone.
Instead I felt reassured. Strangely like I was standing in front of my most trusted man in the world.
It was weird, really weird.
"I can't tell you that ma'am," he slowly bowed his head, "but thanks for helping me out. You aided me in this quest and I won't forget your contribution at all."
He then turned around, grabbed his horse belt and started to move towards the door like he was a normal man.
Yet right now I knew he wasn't! no normal man could summon this aura or move around with such a deep wound.
"Stop right there!" I couldn't help but jump at once to stand in his way.
"Please, step aside," he calmly said, "I don't want to hurt you."
"Humph, as if you can," I blocked his path even when he tried to move to the right or the left. My hands were put against my waist and my face showed my stubborn serious face.
"What do you want?" he seemed annoyed with my behavior, something I felt kinda good to do.
"Tell me your name, from where you are, and everything about you," I confidently said like I had the right to order him around.
It was a thing I gained from living all this life as a faked crown prince of this kingdom.
"Can't you calmly step aside and forget about me?" it seemed like my questions irritated him further.
"Not a chance!" I firmly said yet the next moment I saw him sigh.
Then he moved!
In fact I didn't exactly see what he did. All I saw was a flash of blue shadow moving fast before I lost control over my body.
I felt pain in my back and when everything was over, I found him lying in front of me.
His arms fixed my arms to the ground where my body lay. I didn't know how I got here, but I didn't care about that for now.
He lay on top of me with his big body and shimmering blue eyes that kept me captivated. His breaths weren't raced, yet each time he took and inhaled one I could feel a heat storm lashing over my face.
And the worst part was for these breaths to touch my neck and make me shiver inwardly to no end.
Frankly it wasn't that bad, in fact it felt really good.
Weird! I felt like this for the first time in my life. "Let me go!" I screamed with anger that I only knew it was faked.
I didn't want him to move away from me! I wanted him to stay. At this moment I felt the time froze for eternity.
All that was left in the world was just me and his handsome looking face with those shining blue wide eyes.
Damn! I never was so close to a man before!
"Promise me to act docile," he said in a strong tone that felt so deep at this moment. Only with voice I felt paralyzed.
"Promise," he firmly said but I tried to resist. No one had ever ordered me in such a way, not even my father!
"Never!" I shouted in defiance while twisting my body right and left under him. I wanted to get free, and I didn't. The more I struggled the firmer he held my arms and hands to the ground.
"Stay put," he couldn't help but lean on me to exert more pressure. This time I couldn't really do anything against the weight of his body, which seemed very heavy at this moment.
I didn't even recall he was so heavy or strong when I first picked him up from the wilderness.
"Is this how you treat your saviors?" my line of thoughts gave me a way out and I didn't hesitate to instantly use it.
"You are getting in my way," he said before all of sudden he leaned over me until his hair touched my face.
His head seemed so big that it blocked my entire vision at this moment. But the most remarkable thing was what he did next.
I felt a warm touch over the side of my neck. Warmth that I never felt alike before. The next instant my body got invaded by this heat and all my muscles got relaxed from their own will.
It was like my entire body was submitting to him, and even my soul tended to succumb to his will.
"Sorry about that," he retreated away from me before standing up. I saw his lips… and they were wet. "You can't resist my power, so please stay put and don't move. I'm here to help… your next king is about to be killed and I have to save him."
I felt my body loose that even turning my head to watch his steps moving away was a hard task to do. I watched him jump over his horse as if he was taking a step over the stairs.
It felt so natural to him to do so, and it felt so strange for me to watch him do it without feeling odd.
His heat… his touch with his lips was still burning at the side of my neck. It wasn't painful… in fact I felt the same feeling as having a piece of sweet in my mouth for the first time in my life.
I loved it!
"Ah!"
I tried to open my mouth and shout at him. Instead of my voice, a soft moan came uncontrollably from me, one that managed to stop him from leaving.
"Sorry again," he seemed to feel guilty about what he did. I was lying helplessly on the ground while he stood on the back of his horse.
He looked so giant at this moment, and his eyes kept charming me to no end.
"If I had an option, I would love to share everything with you," he said these words before giving a motion to his horse to move forward.
And again I felt a cold grasp at my heart, like a stabbing pain coming out of nowhere.
I didn't want him to leave… I didn't want him to move away.
"S… Stop…" I finally gathered all my courage and spoke in a stuttered way. I was so weak, yet my power all came from my single desire at the moment.
He shouldn't leave this room… He shouldn't leave me alone.
I heard the hooves of his horse stepping on the ground as if he didn't hear me out. I tried to push my body upward, yet my arms failed me and I ended up slamming on the ground once again.
"It… It's me…" I tried to shout with my loudest voice, yet only whispers appeared out of me. "I'm the next king you are looking for."
And finally the hooves stopped moving and a long minute of silence prevailed in the entire place.
I finally stopped him!
