Chereads / He Calls Me MI'LADY / Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9

Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9

Another day passes, today was Saturday, the day Emery was supposed to leave the hotel, and so as I. I went to the hotel without wearing my uniform but casual clothes, as I got there, I exchanged goodbyes with Martina and Amelia and went straight up to the hotel lobby where we agreed to meet with Emery and Mr. Walkers. " I see you're here, Rabbit." Emery said as he took off his sunglasses, " Would you mind to stop calling me a rabbit, please" I said with annoyance. Emery shrugged it off, " Ms. Faye, have you thought about your decision already?" Mr. Walkers asked, with an indecisive face, " Yeah, I ought to take your offer, in one condition" I said. " And what is that?" Emery said. " Please keep your word about not mixing work with our personal agreement," I said in a serious face. Emery slid into his car's front seat with Mr. Walker in the driver's seat, " Well hop on bunny!" Emery said, " Sir I can just book a taxi" I replied. " Ms. Faye, do you even know where the building is located?" Emery said then made a cheeky smile.

I had no choice but to hop into the car, it was my first time to ride such a luxurious car so I just sat there like a statue because I don't want to destroy something. Emery then looked at the rearview mirror, " Why is he looking at me?" I thought as Emery smirked then I exerted my eyes to the window. Minutes have passed, I don't really remember anymore on how long the ride was, maybe 30 minutes? But why is it taking so long to go to a building! Then we arrived in a very tall building with very unique architecture, I never knew there was this place in the city. " Ms. Faye, we have arrived in Robertson's building located in Harrison City," Mr. Walkers announced, " Wait, what? Harrison City??? No wonder why it took a very long time to arrive here" I thought to myself. The three of us entered the building welcomed by the staff ( Except me of course), we then arrived at Emery's office. " Ms. Faye, as Mr. Robertson's personal aid. You shall stand beside him at all times and must be there when he calls you" Mr. Walkers said then left. This job sounds more like working as a maid for that bastard, I looked at him and he then sat on his chair.

" Have something to say there?" Emery asked, " Uh-h yes, I have a concern about the transportation from my home to this place" I replied. " No worries, once you sign the contract, the company would provide a place for you to reside while working in this company," he said while he slid a contract on his table towards me. I picked up the contract and began to read it, " What? I am only allowed to be apart from you when it's either my break time or dismissal!" I blurted. " Something wrong?" Emery asked, " Yes there is, my personal space is being evaded here" I replied. " Ms. Faye, this is work" Emery replied. Not able to complain, I then signed the contract, " So for your first job as my personal aid, go get me coffee, not just any coffee" Emery said, then he began to open his laptop and work. Before going out to buy coffee, he handed me a sticky note with his type of coffee.

With the building map, which I asked from Mr. Walkers before entering the Robertson's Building. I went straight to the cafeteria and heated the water then mixed the right measurements of Emery's coffee. Carefully, I went back to Emery's office but noticed something odd, people were staring at me. " That's Mr. Robertson's personal aid? She looked like she sold her way here" an employee whispered, I ignored it as I didn't want to cause trouble on my first day of work here.

I arrived at Emery's office with a face of slight sadness, " Here's your coffee Sir" I said as I placed it on his table, Emery looked at my face suspiciously. " What happened?" Emery asked, " Nothing to be worried Sir, it's nothing" I replied, " Well then, after my work I will start to lecture you," Emery said, " Lecture?" I replied. " Yes, lecture, L-E-C-T-U-R-E. Since you have already read the contract, now we will talk about the basic necessities in my office" Emery said.
