Chereads / CHOSEN STAR / Chapter 16 - CHAPTER 16: SWEET COLDNESS (NEW EDITION)

Chapter 16 - CHAPTER 16: SWEET COLDNESS (NEW EDITION)

The young man, it takes a few seconds to press hard, suddenly TOIRE's cry makes him react, releases her and KEKI falls to her knees pulling air on her injured neck.

The altered boy asks her, over and over again, why did he do it?

What did you think I'd accomplish with that?

Didn't you think if I killed her?

If he's done all he's done since then is kill mercenaries... very angry, he shouts helplessly that, he has not... done anything! ... KEKI slows down the advance of TOIRE and OKE with a hand ademan, she does her best to swallow saliva, her throat hurts a little, she gets up very seriously, the boy sees her with suspicion, KEKI is right, if, in truth she is not wrong, she has not done anything yet... leaving the young man stunned by that statement, KEKI walks towards TOIRE AND OKE without looking up.

The sore young man without a lump in his throat, he ached to have heard that phrase.

KEKI, in a serious way, confesses that she recognized her attire, (the young man is surprised) is from the temple of the scribes, the same ones who made the great treasure of CHOSEN embodied on paper, (the young man looks down holding the tears that begin to accumulate in his eyes) she laments greatly her suffering since, like him, perhaps, she is the last one who survived from her temple.

Before the young man says anything, she gets ahead of herself: I'd like to believe that the woman he describes is an impostor, but, she can't lie, a CHOSEN doesn't and knows there's something dark behind it.

Maybe she's true CHOSEN more for some reason, she's strayed from the original path.

The question is why?

His seriousness and sadness and/or coldness was such that I reach the heart of the boy who, has disarmed him, the young man lets out all his accumulated sadness, falling to his knees, devastated.

KEKI sees the young man crying in anger.

She asks if she never understood her teacher's teachings?

This cuts off the boy's cry.

Every student forms a nexus with his teacher, so how could his teacher not understand it?

The boy yells at him: he doesn't understand his message.

TOIRE is restless, the young man has become upset and walks angry towards KEKI.

KEKI replies that, his teacher's will was for him to live, but unfortunately he died along with him, that's all.

The boy is perplexed.

KEKI walks away from the boy.

He has a sad look, remembers the image of his wounded master before putting him in a tunnel and closing so that the escapara.se begin to move away, OKE sees them a little desperate, tells TOIRE if they are going to leave him there, abandoned.

TOIRE looks at her and signs her to be silent.

He doesn't know what's going to happen, the kid's a violent thing, and if a CHOSEN killed his teacher, it can be problematic for him to go with them.

At a considerable distance, KEKI entrusts him that, if his teacher gave him his place in life, it was for him to make a difference, the difference that he could not... (the young man looks at her surprised, still dazed) left him an engagement... don't you see?

The somewhat hysterical and hurt guy confesses that, he has come from far away (OKE sees him moved, until tears betray him, he is very upset), he has fought against any salesman who meets and will not stop doing so, will destroy everything that stands in his way to NANEKI!

Everyone turns him over to be surprised, both that he's on his way and that he feels the same duty as them.

TOIRE, resigned, smiles at him and goes with the boy who stands guard, pats him on the back, calls him a friend as he pulls his arm to lift him, entrusts him with the same course.

The young man somehow feels calmer.

OKE quickly approaches and introduces him to the members of the group: TOIRE the guardian and friend, KEKI the sorceress of CHOSEN and this is OKE, the squire of one of the castle's guardians.

The boy has nothing left but to let his guard down. It is presented, its name is INKU, of the tribe of the temple ESCRIBE.

KEKI explains: those who make the scrolls.

INKU: that's how it was.

KEKI: they still exist as long as you're alive, so let's go to our destination.

Everyone cheers him up and OKE gives him his hand to move forward with them.

INKU asks to pick up some of his things, they will accompany him.

TOIRE is now calmer, it seems that INKU will be too busy with OKE to become depressed and KEKI, although he took a very risky course, turned out to be very reliable.

Maybe if they get a chance.

INKU has collected a light backpack with food for the road, the others also take some fruits.

His path to NANEKI is just beginning.
