Dear diary,
We've arrived at the wedding but as soon as we got there it seemed as if everyone was mean mugging me and whispering about me. maybe it was because I was so nervous being back that got me feeling this way. After all, I'm no longer the same person everyone used to make fun of. Stellen and I make our way into the front row where our seats should have been reserved. When we get there we see that next to the empty seat with Stellen's name on it someone was sitting in my seat. It was Jessica, she tried to act innocent and play it off.
"Jessica, that seat is reserved, your seat is over there."
"Oh I know but I want a closer seat to see Jean. I felt like she wouldn't mind since family comes first right?"
I clenched my fist I have had it with her games. she wanted to play dirty so let's play.
"They have been my only family since childhood, surely you are not saying that I am not worthy of being accepted into this family?"
the people around begin to whisper and stare in our direction. Everybody was waiting for her response.
"Th- that's not what I meant Shi Yang. I only meant closer people should be trying to be sitting up front."
I smile, she doesn't realize she dug herself in as a whole. I look at Stellen, he nods his head in approval. I then turn around and proceed with my conversation. "Jean has been a lot of things to me, my sister, best friend, matchmaker, and so much more. her mother has treated me as one of her own. so are you trying to say they acted close to me for no reason?"
more people whisper and snicker.
"I- I-"
"It's ok to miss Jesica you can keep the seat I was just trying to make a point." I look towards Stellen, "you take your seat il to go find another since I'm not welcome to sit here."
he grabs my hand then starts walking back down the aisle to find two empty seats.
"Wait! Stellen your seat is here there is no need for you to sit in the back."
Stellen turns around and looks at her with disdain
"wherever she goes, we go together."
my heart feels at ease when hearing him say that. a warm smile comes across my face. Stellen pulls me to row six then comes to a stop. he stops so fast and unexpectedly that I bump into his backside.
"Ouch!"
He doesn't move. I move to the side of him to see what has caught his eye. He looked all of three things disgusted, heartbroken, and angry. His hands started to get hot. I look again to see that he is looking at a man two rows down. the man doesn't notice because he is too busy flirting with the two girls next to him. I pull my hand back, he grabs my hand back and grips my hand tighter. his gaze comes off of the man then onto me. his expression slowly starts to soften.
"come on. We got to go take a seat."
I look back at the man once again. this time he noticed. he smiled at me flirtatiously
. Stellen covers my eyes then guides me to my seat. I put my hands over his hands. he lifts my head up where I am looking up at him. He then releases his hands.
"you're not allowed to look at other men when you are with me, especially not him or you'll suffer the consequences."
After he says what he said he sits in his seat then looks at me.
"Are you not going to sit!"
I hurry and plop in the seat next to him. He looked upset. I grabbed his hand and leaned in closer to him.
"The only guy I see is you."
He didn't look at me directly but I could tell he was satisfied with what I said. he held my hand back as we waited for the bride to walk the stage.
