"You're using that spear as if it were a sword!" Metalbeard shouted while parrying my attack.
Metalbeard's parry made me lose my balance which gave him a chance to get a clean hit. Not wasting any time, I stabbed my weapon into the ground to regain my balance and just barely managed to avoid the attack. I quickly removed my weapon from the ground and jumped back to create some distance.
Compared to the duel wielding man I had met earlier, Metalbeard was five, no, ten times stronger than him. There wasn't any time for me to read Metalbeard's aura so I had to completely rely on my eyes to dodge any attack.
Metalbeard charged at me and swung his cutlass. I tried my best to move out of the way but just barely got scratched by his weapon, leaving a decently sized mark on my armor. I thrusted my spear towards Metalbeard but he easily dodged it. Thanks to that, I did manage to create some distance again.
"Damn it! If only I knew how to activate my aura or at the very least understand how to use this weapon!" I shouted angrily, the grip on my weapon tightening from frustration.
Metalbeard who had been charging at me suddenly stopped moving and looked at me with a confused expression as if I had just said something stupid. I took a defensive stance and waited for an attack but it never came.
"Kid... You're telling me you still haven't unlocked your aura?" Metalbeard sheathed his cutlass.
"Yeah. You got a problem with that?" I shot back.
Metalbeard began to laugh which echoed throughout the entire area, sending chills down my spine. The ground shook beneath him each step he took towards me. Small pieces of the cave ceiling fell down and shattered into pieces when they made contact with Metalbeard. It was pretty obvious that he had activated his aura even if I couldn't see it.
"Well kid, allow me to give you a taste of aura." Metalbeard said, cracking his knuckles as he continued to slowly walk towards me.
"Bring it." I responded bracing for whatever was coming next.
The room around us began to shake violently and the walls began to crack as well as the roof. I moved back to Emma who was still by the entrance and managed to destroy the rubble that was about to land on her. The area still continued to shake for what felt like an hour until finally the walls broke apart, revealing an even larger area for us to fight in.
"Sorry but that room was way too cramp for me to fight in. You don't mind, do you?" Metalbeard said, showing his golden teeth with his smile.
"Not at all. I'll still find a way to kick you ass." I stated.
"Such confidence. You remind me of Dai in his younger years."
"That's the second time you brought that name up. Who is this Dai person you keep mentioning?"
Metalbeard shook his head, "it doesn't matter. Now what are you waiting for? Didn't you say you'll find a way to kick my ass?"
My eye twitched at Metalbeard's comment. I raised myself away from Emma and gave metalbeard a very annoyed smile.
"Sorry for the delay but I'm ready now."
