Chapter 214 - Raid

"Where did he go?!" A pirate shouted nervously looking around the large empty space.

"I don't know but if we wanna stop him, we have to stick together." Another pirate said in a reassuring tone.

"R-right." The first pirate responded.

The two remaining pirates nodded their heads and surveyed the room, trying to find whoever it is they were looking for. Unfortunately, that person happened to be me. Thankfully I had kept Emma hidden so for all the pirates knew, I was the only one there.

"That's a good plan." I said, acting as if I belonged in their group.

"Thank you-" the pirate went to turn around and was met with a strong right hook to the jaw, knocking him out.

"What the-" the nervous pirate couldn't even finish his sentence before he got he got punched in the stomach, knocking him down onto his knees.

"Where did you come from!" The pirate with an eyepatch asked, reading his cutlass.

"You left an open space for me to drop in on." I said bluntly.

I sidestepped the eyepatch pirate's attack and countered with a strong kick to the side of his head, which sent him flying into the nervous pirate.

"Guess that just leaves you." I said, turning towards the fourth pirate.

"Guess so. Though you shouldn't lump me in with those losers." The pirate said, adjusting his headband. The pirate removed the two cutlasses from their sheathed and readied them.

"Two swords?" I asked, unsheathing my own sword.

"What? Never seen a dual wielder before?" The man rushed in and attacked me with the sword on his right.

Even though I blocked it, the power was enough to break my guard if I wasn't careful. I took a step back and observed for any openings. My effort was short lived though because the man didn't give me much time before continuing his attack.

"Why's someone as strong as you working for a group of pirates?" I asked, blocking his left sword before creating some distance between us.

"What's it matter to you? It's not like it's your problem." The man responded, tapping the front of his shoes against the ground.

"Well it kind of is my problem if it's the reason as to why you're attacking me."

The man stopped moving for a moment before letting out a small exhale. A small smirk grew on his face as he stood there.

"I'll tell you what. If you can knock me down, I'll tell you."
