Chapter 206 - Floor Ten

Despite it being nighttime, it sure didn't feel like it. The street lights kept the busy streets bright and vibrant and the lights in the buildings lit up the night sky. Despite how busy the streets were, it was all organized and allowed us to walk though the streets without any trouble. Men in suits rode on carriages that rode through the middle of the streets and well dressed people stood outside buildings handing out fliers to passersby.

"This place is huge!" Emma said, looking around the city.

"It's great, isn't it?" Morgan said, smiling at Emma.

With how well dressed everyone was, it made my group stick out like a sore thumb. I looked back at everyone and saw that Alice, Akari, and Steven had the same expression as I did.

"I took into account any shopping you might want to do so feel free to buy things while you're here. You've only got four hours though so make sure you spend your time wisely. I'll be waiting at the train station when it's time." Morgan stated.

"How thoughtful." Alice said.

Morgan gave everyone one last smile before turning away and walking towards the direction that was most likely where the station was.

"Well you heard the man. Let's get some shopping done!" Alice said enthusiastically.

Alice and Akari suddenly began walking off, but not before signaling Emma to come with them. Once the three of them left, all that remained was me, Steven, and Fang.

"We should probably buy some actual clothes so we fit in. I'd rather not have to constantly deal with all these strange looks we're getting." Steven said.

"True that, though Fang will stick out no matter what we do." I said jokingly.

The two of them laughed at my little comment before going back to discussing our plans. Despite knowing what we wanted to do first, finding the store would be difficult without a map.

"Oh, hey, a map!" Fang said, pointing his snout towards some shelves next to one seemed to be an information counter.

"Lucky us." I said, walking over to the counter.

The young girl working behind the counter noticed me walking over and gave me a friendly smile, much different from the looks everyone else had given me here so far.

"I take it you're new to Floor Ten?" The girl asked.

"Yup. So, how much are the maps?" I asked, already digging through my bag to get some velp.

"Completely free!" The girl said, her positivity practically exploding.

Well wasn't that great. I stopped rummaging through my bag and quickly shut it before taking one of the maps.

"If you have any questions, I'll be here. Well at least for the next couple of hours." The girl laughed.

I thanked her before returning to my group who had patiently been waiting for my return. I showed them the map and we all looked at it for a moment.

"Uhh… I'm usually pretty good with maps but I've got no idea where we are. Fang, do you know?"

"I can't even read, what makes you thing I can read maps?"
