I jumped to my feet and dusted myself off. I stared at the spider as it continued running towards me and raised the hand I had used to summon fire.
"Create fire!"
Nothing happened.
I retracted my hand and looked at it to see if something was wrong. There was nothing there, not even a burn mark from the fire I had created before. Was I out of magic stamina?
Now that I think about it, whenever Akira and Katsu used magic they always had a ring that appeared in front of their hand.
"I'm finished!" Megumi yelled.
I turned my head and saw that Katsu was already halfway towards us because of his wind magic. When he arrived he smashed his knee into the side of the spider's head.
With a loud crash the spider fell on the ground. It wasn't even moving anymore.
"This is what happens when you piss me off" Katsu said, readying another spell to use on the spider.
"Wait! I might be able to make some things using the spider's body." Megumi said.
Katsu gave off an annoyed sigh as he lowered his hand. Megumi's body blocked what she was doing to the spider's head, and to be honest, I didn't want to know what she was doing.
Both Katsu and I gave each other worried looks as Megumi continued doing what she was doing.
We could see the occasional gush of blood come out which only added onto our disgust. How does Megumi take pleasure in these sort of things?
"Alright done! Sorry for the wait, these eyes were a lot tougher to get out." She said, finally revealing what she did to the body. Or should I say what was left of the body.
"Why did you take its eyes?" I asked, using my hand to block out the spider's corpse.
"So I could make potions? What else would I need them for?" Megumi answered.
"Ok but why did you also take some of its legs off?" Katsu asked, also using his hand to block out the spider.
"Well I thought you could use them as weapons. They're better than the wooden swords you're carrying now."
