The constant feeling of being lightly slapped on the face woke me up. I looked around and saw Ichiro readying his hand to slap me again.
"Oh, you're finally awake. We've been here long enough so we're about to leave." He said, helping me to my feet.
"That was refreshing. So where are we heading to now?" I asked.
Ichiro reached into his bag and shuffled his hand around until he pulled out a map. He put it up to my face and pointed towards a mountain that didn't seem too far if I was guessing our position correctly. There was also a circle with an arrow pointing to it saying that we were here.
"The Giant King should be in a cave that's on the mountain. Apparently that's where all the giants live." Ichiro explained.
The sound of trees shaking made all of us turn around. The loud thumping could only mean one thing, a giant was approaching. We all readied ourself for the oncoming fight as the thumping got louder.
"I hope I escaped them." A voice from behind the trees said.
A giant suddenly bursted out of the trees and crashed onto the ground. When the giant raised its head it saw all four of us staring at it with wide eyes. We all stared at each other for what felt like an eternity.
"You humans shouldn't be here. There's a war going on between us giants and I'd rather not have you get involved." The giant said, slowly picking himself up.
"War? What are you talking about?" Alice asked.
"What war? The Giant Civil War! We've been fighting for years!" The giant yelled.
I turned to Ichiro to see if he knew what the giant was talking about but he shrugged at me. I turned back towards the giant and saw all the wounds and scars on him. That fact that he could even stand was a miracle.
"So about this war, why is is happening?" Akio asked.
"I'll keep it short and just say that this is all King Savar's fault. Because of him us giants have split off into two different factions." The giant said with an angry look on his face.
I gave the giant an intrigued look but before I could ask him anything the sound of more footsteps could he heard.
"They caught up to me faster than I expected, you guys need to leave now." The giant said, pointing us away from what was coming.
