"Eh?"
"Hm?" Responded Satoru.
We both stared at each other with complete confusion in our eyes. I finally had a name for the person I was looking for. Though I probably could have learned that back at the tavern back home.
"Do you know her?" I asked.
"Of course I know her, she's my niece." Satoru revealed.
If I was drinking something, I would have most likely spat it out on him at that moment. Satoru gave me a confused expression as we stared at each other for a moment.
"You never answered me, why are you looking for Mai?" His expression changed to a serious one.
"It's… we'll it sounds dumb but I saw her in a dream. She didn't look like she was in danger but something still felt off." I answered.
Despite how dumb I sounded, Satoru gave his full attention to me. He didn't even seem surprised about what I said.
"So she summoned you in your dreams. I think it would be best if you leave right now. I need to think over some things." Satoru said with a cold expression.
I did what he said and exited the building. Almost immediately I began to think of why he was acting that way. At least he explained why I had the dreams of Mai but that didn't explain why I was having them.
My thinking was cut off by the sound of my stomach growling. I looked down at it and realized I hadn't eaten anything in a while.
"John, what were you doing at Satoru's guild?" Ichiro asked.
I looked up and saw him standing with Akio and Alice. Alice was carrying a small staff Akio had a dagger on his side. Ichiro was the only one there who hadn't gotten anything new.
"Oh, Satoru asked if I wanted to check out his guild hall so I went. Though as you can see, I'm leaving right now." I said.
Ichiro gave me a strange look before shrugging, "well anyway, we found a good quest and we were trying to find you so we could start." Ichiro explained.
I was itching for a quest so I had no complaints. I just hoped it wasn't anything too crazy.
